How do I change DD's name?

I just want to change the spelling of DD's name and am not sure how to go about this. She is 8 months so already registered, and I've bloomin well got her a passport too as had to fly to the states with her! Other than that haven't got bank accounts set up etc.
Does anyone know where I should start and how complicated it is? Although I adore her name, I was a bit rushed registering her and now wish I had spelt it differently!

We can't possibly say until you tell us the name and the spelling :)

I am fairly sure your only option would be a deed poll. This would mean her birth name would be AAAAA and her new name would be AAnewspellingAA. This means her old name would always be on her birth certificate etc and she would need to produce the deed poll for pretty much anything official. It is a lot of faff both now and for her in the future.

Is her current spelling not one you can live with?

Mummy
I changed ds name when he was a couple of months old and the spelling od another ds name when he was a year old
You have twelve months after the date that they were registered to go along to the register office and change it

The initial birth certificate still stands but with an amended name at the bottom

we also had a short one printed off for an extra which just says the new name

cost 10 or something - not much and v v easy and painless
