Just wondering what people think about Thomasina. I really like the name but I do wonder if people would think that we'd wanted a boy.

really, really awful, sorry.

MelinaM · 31/10/2010 00:05

Oohh I love it, has made me think of a film I loved as a little girl 'The three lives of Thomasina'! x

It's awful.

Sorry!

RiojaLover75 · 30/10/2010 22:02

Love it!

poppydaisy · 30/10/2010 21:53

I like Thomasina - I prefer it to Georgina, Edwina and Roberta. Tommie or Tamsin are cute nicknames.

TruthSweet · 30/10/2010 18:40

Tamsin/Tamzin is the usual nickname for Thomasina if that helps any?

Faaamily · 30/10/2010 16:15

It sounds like a boy's name with 'ina' at the end, in a way that Georgina or Edwina just don't. Not keen, sorry.

gregtheguineapig · 30/10/2010 15:36

LOVE IT!

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 30/10/2010 15:33

Erm, no. Don't do it.

chandra · 30/10/2010 15:30

I'm sorry, I hate it.

CharlieBoo · 30/10/2010 15:29

Awful awful awful, it would look exactly like you wanted a boy and I doubt in years to come your daughter would thank you for it.....

5DollarShake · 30/10/2010 13:07

I wouldn't choose it for my own, but would probably think it was quite quirky (in a good way) if I heard it on someone else. [hsmile]

coldcomfortHeart · 30/10/2010 13:05

Too close to the male for me too. Knew a Jacobina once, that takes the prize I think!

Psychommead · 30/10/2010 12:08

Dislike it. I know tons of names are derived from the male form, but this one is a step too far for me.

muminthemiddle · 30/10/2010 11:27

I don't like it.I know a adult Thomasina, named after her father Thomas and she changed her name to something else by deedpoll.

Beegey · 30/10/2010 11:18

I really like it. I was very fond of it when expecting DD1 but a friend ruined it for me by saying it sounded like a Thoms during the week who became Thomasina at the weekends...

Avocadoes · 30/10/2010 07:37

I love it.

Thomasina and Theodora are my two fav girls' names right now. I would probably go for Theodora at a push because it has better nicknames (Thea, Dora...).

mathanxiety · 30/10/2010 05:20

Thomasina Tittlemouse.

But I like it more than any of the other boys-will-be-girls names for some funny reason.

Rhubarbgarden · 29/10/2010 21:38

Love it. It does make me think of the cat though.

badcoverversion · 29/10/2010 21:21

Not keen on it if I'm honest.
Sorry Blush

LetThereBeRock · 29/10/2010 20:42

Awful

brimfull · 29/10/2010 20:07
