I know a baby Crispin. And a baby Ace. No-one bats an eyelid.

Hedwig3 · 05/11/2010 12:05

Sounds better the other way around, or

Kit Montgomery

SirBoobAlot · 04/11/2010 22:43

That's just cruel...

YouNeverCanTell · 04/11/2010 22:24

Monty is lovely. But Paul is better!

shkozet · 04/11/2010 20:06

Why not? There was an author whose real name was Bruce Montgomery, who wrote detective stories under the pseudonym Edmund Crispin.

RockBat · 29/10/2010 19:25

I know a Crispin (Cris). He's a big bloke as well, not the weedy little Quentin Crisp wannabe that you lot think a Crispin should be [hwink]

choufleur · 29/10/2010 19:09

DS's middle name is Montgomery. He has a pretty mundane first name though

ConfusedMUM75 · 29/10/2010 19:07

Eww, Crisp. Now you really managed to put me off. LOL.

rachel1970 · 29/10/2010 18:58

Reminds me of Crispin Glover. No bad association imo Smile.

The only thing that would put me off is the nickname Crisp.

I love Monty and Quentin, by the way. Less keen on Tarquin.

ConfusedMUM75 · 29/10/2010 18:53

Montgomery! Grr, cant spell today!

ConfusedMUM75 · 29/10/2010 18:53

Think Will go for Montgomeray as a first name then. Any nice middle names to go with it?

OP posts:
mopsyflopsy · 29/10/2010 18:49

I think Monty and Quentin are fab!

But Crispin reminds me of crisp bread, especially when shortened to Crisp.

valiumskeleton · 29/10/2010 18:45

to quote summer roberts

'eeeooo'

onimolap · 29/10/2010 18:42

I don't personally like Crispin much (preferring "woody" to "tinny" - anyone else remember that Two Ronnie's sketch?) but there isn't anything wrong with it.

I think Montgomery's fab!

ConfusedMUM75 · 29/10/2010 18:38

So I guess it a no then... :O

ThighsWideShitItsAGhost · 29/10/2010 18:18

Paul should be used more often. Paul is, well, nice. Yes?

FlumpetMum · 29/10/2010 18:16

Crispin WTF? Why do you hate this child?

JamieLeeCurtis · 29/10/2010 18:13

Yabu

GeorgeOsborne · 29/10/2010 18:06

I like it - Monty especially

kreecherlivesupstairs · 29/10/2010 18:03

Confused not that that is difficult at the moment.
Can't be arsed to google the name (unless you are pulling my leg)

ConfusedMUM75 · 29/10/2010 16:28

I was thinking Crisping Glover... LOL

OP posts:
ConfusedMUM75 · 29/10/2010 16:27

Eww, dont like Gary at all. Keith is ok, but does not go with our family name I am afraid...

OP posts:
kreecherlivesupstairs · 29/10/2010 16:27

Crispin puts me in mind of Quentin Crisp, the naked civil servant.
If I were you, I'd take the advice offered, go with Gary (or Keith)

ConfusedMUM75 · 29/10/2010 16:24

Well, the thing is, I am foreign, so I usually choose names because I like the sound of them, but never sure how it sounds to others. By the way the oldest are called Elliott and Spencer.

Faaamily · 29/10/2010 16:23

Crispin is awful.

I know a little Monty. Thought it was a bit try hard at first, but it suits him.
