Really this is because after 3 children together we just got married at the weekend and we are expecting he 4th in April. My maiden name was Ferguson so it's a small way of nearly keeping it alive!!
Slightly worried though that everyone will view child as very middle class with ruddy cheeks and orange hair!! What do you think?
I like Finn too but think that is now quite popular.
We have 3 girls so far so quite likely to be another girl but this thread is just incase!!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

No, it's just hideous whatever your 'class'.
Sounds like 'fungus'.

I like Fergus.

Mitchymum · 28/10/2010 21:37

I love Fergus.

I had wanted to call DS Finn, but my hubby spoiled the name for me by saying he would be bullied if he was fat.

freerangeeggs · 28/10/2010 01:07

I really like Fergus. I teach two now that I live in England (a middle class area, too) but never met one in the 25 years I lived in Scotland!

Gus is a great nickname.

valiumskeleton · 27/10/2010 22:44

I like it. I like Fergus and Gus, and maybe even Fergie. Not sure about the middle class question. I really like boys' Scottish names.

pranma · 27/10/2010 22:02

No Finn in top 100 for 2009 so not common [I love it]
I love Fergus too and Gus is a brilliant nn

Not particularly MC. I do think Fungus too!

I like Finn and how about Angus?

ZZZenAgain · 27/10/2010 21:00

wouldn't say Fergus was particularly middle class. These things change all the time anyway

GeorgeOsborne · 27/10/2010 20:58

What about Ferguson as a middle name?

Fergus, middle class, meh, not partic

Rhubarbgarden · 27/10/2010 20:55

I like Fergus. Although I did used to work with one and everyone referred to him as Fungus. Behind his back.
