What kind of girls are called Georgia? is it a bit 90's/had its time? Does it sound a bit posh? What's the general feel? It was number 55 in 2009 and has gone down the ranking a lot in the past 10 years, is it classic enough to still be pretty?

I like it but I prefer Georgina

shortened to Georgie

LoubyLoubyLouLa · 27/10/2010 17:39

Im afraid it's pretty chavvy to me, but only because of the people I know who have called their child it Blush

If you want posh, I think georgianna is better (if that's how you spell it).

I think of Miss Darcy although she was Georgiana or something.

I like it.

Lovely name, I think of it as a classic and considered it but there are 2 owned by colleagues-turns out they are both 'Jorja's. Have different opinions of that.

'Rainy night in...'

I like it and think it's classy.

Pinkjenny · 27/10/2010 15:36

I start singing, 'Midnight train to Georgia' in my head.

LaRagazzaInglese · 27/10/2010 15:33

Rannaldini - on a scale of 1-10 1 being chavvy 10 being posh where would you put it? or is it one of those names that just suits the person?

Rannaldini · 27/10/2010 14:12

mutable · 27/10/2010 14:08

"...on my mind"

Yellowflowers · 27/10/2010 14:07

I like it - really pretty and reminds me of an old style singer or movie star
