I'm due in 2 weeks and am bored so thought I'd find out if others have decided ... We are still arguing debating over names Grin

Are you name stealing! Hmm

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 16/10/2010 19:46

I am due in 11 days, we have no clue what we are going to call her still despite talking about it for 6 months.

bytheMoonlight · 16/10/2010 20:03

You can't steal a name - that's a well known MN fact!

We have our shortlists tbh, 3 names on each. But we are in the same position as Libra and cannot decide.

I am due in 17 weeks. We have had DDs name picked out for 8 years. Grin

CrazyPlateLady · 16/10/2010 20:08

DS's name was decided just over half way through the pregnancy.

InGodWeTrust · 18/10/2010 18:55

I'm with crazy...and had them picked from the day of conception. I had Ophelia (O-Feel-ia) for a girl and ended up having a boy so we named him Elijah.

We didn't want our dc in a class with a duplicate name!

Towanmummies · 19/10/2010 11:26

although will have to see when it's born (due in 3 days) have chosed Austin Lewis for a boy and Maisie Violet for a girl. had names sorted before i got pregnant.... thought it might never happen. (lesbian with PCOS-chances not great but it worked!!)

only "family" name is Violet which is MIL's name. she has dementia so doesn't understand what's going on, DP really misses her as she used to be. using her name as middle name was my idea and she just burst into tears....Sad

Oh how lovely Towan. My heart goes out to your dp, my mum has dementia and I know what she means about missing the person she used to be.

We named DD after my mum, it's a lovely thing to do. Love your names btw!

not if they have my mums name bythemoon. that would be extremely cruel to the poor child

APixieInMyTea · 20/10/2010 14:55

I have a fav name for a boy and a fav for a girl.

My ds is 5 weeks old and wasn't allowed my boy's name so

Boy: Lachlan

Girl: Minerva

don't know if I'll ever get to use either. Sad

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 20/10/2010 15:30

I love Violet Towan but it doesn't work with our surname.

Love Minerva too.

Boys name is likely to be Samuel but still in debate over middle name (I want my maiden name).

Girls name still undecided but probably between Nell Florence, Daisy Florence or Harriet Daisy. Or I might throw a curve ball and completely change my mind yet!

Spookberries · 20/10/2010 16:00

We have a few in the running, namely Hugo and Elias.

Helpful that we've had the girl's name we love for over a year and he turned out to be a boy cheeky bugger [hgrin]

Due in...erm...40-26.

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 24/10/2010 16:33

Ok I don't mean to lower the tone but isn't Minerva the name of a pill?

AbiAbi · 24/10/2010 18:01

I'm due on Nov 21st, a boy, and we are probably going to go with Xavier, with Sebastien as a middle name.

I also loved Rory, Jude and Gabe, but DH wouldn't even consider them!

JustKeepSparkling · 24/10/2010 18:03

I love Nell :)

We are rather boring with names, and have George or Mary ready - only another 25ish weeks to go!

ellesabe · 24/10/2010 18:44

We're going for Jemima Mary or Ezekiel James.

bytheMoonlight · 25/10/2010 12:40

I love Mary but dh vetoed it.

I think we've settled on Elijah for a boy
