I have taught a teenage Omri and he was one of the brightest and loveliest kids I've ever taught, if that helps!

It's beautiful and clearly a non-english/non-Western name, so ignore the ignoramuses confusing it with Henry/Henri Wink. Really love it, but I guess it dores depend on your family mix/heritage?

It also means something like "my love" or "my darling" in Arabic. That's how my Dh (Algerian) uses it anyway. But I don't think it's used as a name in Arabic - Dh not here so can't ask!

It sounds Egyptian or something. Nice, but maybe a bit out of place for an English family IMO.

Nope, not Hebrew. Not a name commonly used in Israel anyway.

I get the Henry connection from the French pronunciation, I guess.

I like it, but I can see the Henry connection.
I know a very advanced 2 year old Henri, often mistakenly called Henry. His parents have taught him to chant AitchEeeEnAreEye-Onree to make it clear.
