Found 'the one' - and it's not Beauden [grin]

Hi everyone,

Well, after a few days of constant name games, me and dh are sorted. Thanks to everyone's help we have decided not to go with Beauden after the BAD reaction on here. Or Indigo or Lyric or Soren. Lots of you still will hate our choices but I think you know when you have decided because you don't care less anymore what others think (in a nice way).

Soooo. our final choices are:

Girl: Sonnet Melody
Boy: Winter Beau Alexander.

See, I still have my Beau in there Grin.

I think these fit in really well with our other dc. The only big problem is that we have an Autumn so it may well sound contrived. But they aren't going to be joined at the hip and will have their own identities.

One last favour!!!

Can anyone suggest a nice third name to go with Sonnet Melody? (Our other three have all got two middle names so I want to do the same).

Was thinking perhaps:

Sonnet Melody Grace
Sonnet Melody Eve
Sonnet Melody Erin

Want a classic name she can fall back on if she hates her other two names.

Anyway, thank you for all your help. I think I can almost leave these boards in peace now Grin

I too am registering a comment to see the outcome........however I am half expecting the announcement of...

Jack.

or

Molly.

BonzoDooDah · 05/11/2010 09:44

Oh fingers still crossed Arizona - hope the little one arrives safely soon.

Mummyslittlesunbeams - congratultaions and what a lovely name. I was hoping for a girl for my second and woulfd have named them Katrina but Ktty for short - love that name. Instead I have my gorgeous son Smile

cloudydays · 05/11/2010 04:24

Grin arizona! i've been lurking every day waiting for news.. i suspect there are many others doing the same!

wishing you the best and looking forward to the big announcement!

thumbwheel · 05/11/2010 02:42

Grin arizona - you dare!

arizonagirl · 04/11/2010 23:48

Thanks lola010. Somehow I suspect you will be having a 3rd ; )

I am a little bit calmer about the birth but suspect it is the anxiety that has put things off this long. Trying to relax but it is difficult when you know a dangerous operation might be right around the corner. Kind of makes you try and deter any potential contractions. Anyhows, thanks, and will keep you posted. Will let you know as soon as I can that Mickey Mouse is here, safe and well Grin.

Actually, hmmmm - Mickey Mouse.....

Mickey Beauden Mouse.....
Mickey Skyler Mouse....

What do you reckon.....

Fingers crossed for you Arizona that you go soon to avoid section. And "they" say subsequent babies arrive sooner!!

Hopefully though this thread has taken your mind off worrying about your birth. I'm sure all will be fine!

Not that choosing a name isn't an important issue but I suppose when you are faced with a risky birth then it isn't really in the grand scheme! I'd call my child Mickey Mouse if I could guarantee a safe arrival if we choose to have a 3rd! Grin

Anyway, I waffle! Hope all goes well xx

arizonagirl · 04/11/2010 22:25

Hi all, no, I am still waiting!!!! Baby is now nine days late. Got an appointment tomorrow and a sweep planned for Monday. If no news by next week I will have to have the elective section which is going to be risky. Really fed up and just want baby out safely. To think I thought I was in a race against time with names.

MummysLittleSunbeams - congratulations - hope you are enjoying those magical first few weeks. Love the name - have just met my first other Kitty - she is a cutie.

Will keep you all posted. Maybe tonight...

come on Arizonagirl! I thought we were due around the same time & my dd2 is now three weeks old! Smile She is called Kitty Violet if anyone is interested! Grin

thumbwheel · 04/11/2010 11:18

A melody isn't a song! it's a tune. You have the melody (tune) and lyrics (words) to make a song.

HippyHippopotamus · 04/11/2010 10:58

I've just read most of this thread and out of pure nosiness I'm marking my place to find out what you call your little bundle Smile

DanceInTheDark · 04/11/2010 10:39

Just Skyler Beau

And Sonnet Melody still feels wrong (little song, song)

How are things anyway? Aren't you about 2 months over due now?

A1980 · 04/11/2010 10:30

I can't help thinking of Sonic the Hedgehog when I think of Sonnet as a name.

But whatever floats your boat.

Grin
BonzoDooDah · 04/11/2010 10:26

Hey Arizona - how are you? Surely this baby is here now? I really hope you are all okay.

CheerfulYank · 02/11/2010 15:02

I think Phoenix is nice. I have a friend who lives in AZ and the boy name she had picked out during her pregnancy was Phoenix. (She ended up having a DD named Clover.)

I like Sage too.

thumbwheel · 02/11/2010 12:51

(tis thumbwitch, btw, just got my Bonfire night name on now! :))
Still holding out for Zephyr really....Grin

Oh and Arizona = girl's name. Phoenix, otoh, could work...

thumbwheel · 02/11/2010 12:49

Oooo. Variations on an Arizonan theme - how about Saguaro? It's the state "flower" for Arizona, apparently (it's those big cacti that you see in Spaghetti Westerns)!

mathanxiety · 01/11/2010 22:30

I love Plumblossom myself. But Sage strikes me as a real desert name. Or Pine.

Rafi · 01/11/2010 21:15

There's a Rainbow Forest in Arizona - Sonnet Melody Rainbow?

noeyedear · 01/11/2010 20:53

I like Arizona as a girls name- Sonnet Melody Arizona? But that might just be autosuggestion after reading this thread!

arizonagirl · 01/11/2010 20:47

Thanks mathanxiety - food for thought whilst I wait patiently....any ideas of Arizona desert names??

OP posts:
mathanxiety · 01/11/2010 16:19

I agree Rose is a bit blah after Sonnet Melody.

How about California desert names instead:
Pine
Mojave
Indio (town near Palm Springs)
Jacinta (Jacinto Mountains)
Calico (ghost town)
Sage (ubiquitous plant)
Pearblossom (town in the Antelope Valley)
Rosamond (another town in the Antelope Valley)

CheerfulYank · 01/11/2010 15:57

YAY for Yarney! I am thrilled that someone has a son named Indigo. (My last name is Brick, y'see, and that puts the kibosh on Indigo, Gray, and Scarlett, all of which I luurrvvee. :( )

Yarny · 30/10/2010 22:28

arizona girl - I just noticed this thread (where have I been?!), we named our son Indigo and it suits him so well. I love the other names you have mentioned, may keep some in mind for future DC's!

arizonagirl · 30/10/2010 22:25

I agree - Beau is a lovely name on its own and I would probably have it as a first name. However......with our surname it would be absolutely ridiculous and would cause nothing but laughter.

ShowOfBloodyStumps · 30/10/2010 22:15

Yes just Beau Alexander.

largegin's Beau is adorable. I plan to steal him. Actually, I'm a bit worried that dd genuinely thinks they're going to get married one day. She's going to try and hold his hand next time we see you and he'll tell her to go away. There will be tears before bedtime.
