Ok ok - you win, Beauden is out. But now I really need your help - baby due any day now.

How about Indigo Sky for a boy? Any better?

I like some of the suggestions but nothing really appeals.

I like soft sounding nature names like:

Aspen (too much potential for teasing)
Cypress (too much like Cyprus)

Can't have Forest or River or Winter which I like.

So, I have listened to everyone but now I have no name. And baby might be born any time.

Help.

Personally I love it. My friend's teenage son has Indigo as a middle name. (They are old hippies though!)

LetThereBeRock · 01/10/2010 16:36

It's a terrible name.

AlpinePony · 01/10/2010 16:14

Are you sure you're trying to name a child and not a novel to be found in the 50% off bin?

boudoiricca · 01/10/2010 16:13

I know a little girl Indigo.

It has grown on me a lot.

I agree that if you were to use it you need a name, not a noun, in the middle.

pinkgrasshopper · 01/10/2010 16:10

Definitely a girl's name IMO...sorry.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 01/10/2010 16:01

sounds like a girls name to me, sorry

Bumblelion · 01/10/2010 16:00

I think it sounds lovely (although I was thinking more for a girls name). I love nature sounding names.

Skyrg · 01/10/2010 15:59

Definitely not, sounds (as IBE said) like a description.
Indigo isn't too bad (what would you shorten it to?) but I think it needs a middle name, not a middle noun.

Haliborange · 01/10/2010 15:51

Hm. I could like Indigo (although people might think you'd meant Inigo) but coupled with Sky it is a bit much for my taste. I'm not much into the nature names thing though and I sort of feel like Indigo is a girl's name, although really who cares about that.

What about:

Rain
Brook
Brock (prn Brahk)
Quince

Habbibu · 01/10/2010 15:49

People will think you think he's an indigo child.

You have 6 weeks after the birth to register, iirc.

IBruiseEasily · 01/10/2010 15:47

Indigo SKy sounds like a description to me

Indigo ok (not one i would personally choose though)
