Indigo Sky

Ok ok - you win, Beauden is out. But now I really need your help - baby due any day now.

How about Indigo Sky for a boy? Any better?

I like some of the suggestions but nothing really appeals.

I like soft sounding nature names like:

Aspen (too much potential for teasing)
Cypress (too much like Cyprus)

Can't have Forest or River or Winter which I like.

So, I have listened to everyone but now I have no name. And baby might be born any time.

Help.

Indiana is nicer.

pearlsandtwinset · 01/10/2010 18:00

A cousin of mine called her daughter Indigo Skye.

ValiumSingleton · 01/10/2010 17:53

Indigo is a bit try hard, and sounds like a boy if you're guessing the sex.

I do quite like Skye with an e though.

BalloonSlayer · 01/10/2010 17:49

I think hardly anyone knows the term "indigo child."

I think I might keep thinking he was called Inigo. Which is a proper name (Inigo Jones).

belgo · 01/10/2010 17:45

What about Indiana?

belgo · 01/10/2010 17:44

I really thought it was girls's name!

Why not just Beau? Or Beaumont?

blametheparents · 01/10/2010 17:43

Would def make me think of the phrase 'indigo child'
Wouldn't go for it myself

meadowlarks · 01/10/2010 17:42

I know a guy called Indigo Poole.

BalloonSlayer · 01/10/2010 17:41

I suppose he could be Indy for short.

catinthehat2 · 01/10/2010 17:06

I prefer Fluffy Bunnyslippers for the true 100% Native American Wimptastic vibe.

Indigo Sky is only 95% there.

SparklyJules · 01/10/2010 17:03

Oh yes! I am!

That's a nice name too.

Wink
BalloonSlayer · 01/10/2010 16:56

Are you thinking of Indigo Starfish, Sparklyjules?

SparklyJules · 01/10/2010 16:55

Isn't it the name of an online gift company? Sure I've seen it on an envelope somewhere...

Soft sounding names are good, what about Orren?

PosieParker · 01/10/2010 16:53

Indigo is okay but with Sky it sounds very Glastonbury try hard.

DaisyDaresYOU · 01/10/2010 16:51

Theres a boy in school with a wacky and i have to admit me my fam dp and es fam, thought poor boy

DaisyDaresYOU · 01/10/2010 16:48

Noo Indigo sky sounds very girly. He will not appreciate having wacky names.Im all for unpopular names but not silly ones.

BalloonSlayer · 01/10/2010 16:45

Have you thought about James?

taintedpaint · 01/10/2010 16:44

You think Aspen will get him teased, but not Indigo Sky Hmm. Sorry, but it's a terrible name.

MrToad · 01/10/2010 16:44

Indigo is ridiculous and Indigo Sky even more so. Sorry.

You have had a lot of negative feedback about various names you have chosen, why don't you make it easier for yourself and stop asking for feedback on MN, just choose a name you like and go for it.

telsa · 01/10/2010 16:40

I know a boy called Indigo. I like it. Kind of native American.

Skyrg · 01/10/2010 16:40

Agree that if I heard it, I would think of a girl.

What about:

Axel
Jonah
Calder
Robin

thisisyesterday · 01/10/2010 16:39

or Skyler

thisisyesterday · 01/10/2010 16:39

i think it's nice. for a girl. somehow it just doens't sound boy-ish
tho i guess it would grow on me if i knew a boy called it

what about Rowan?

summery · 01/10/2010 16:38

I actually quite like it but then am a fan of more unusual names.

However, the first thing that came to mind is the name of a bag that is on the Clarks website at the moment which is quite similar.

LetThereBeRock · 01/10/2010 16:37

And utterly ridiculous.
