Any thoughts on Lupin (ok strictly speaking it's a boy's name, but it's also a flower) or Zinnia (one of the twins in the Darling Buds of May)? Looking for something botanical that isn't 'flowery'. Any other suggestions?

Laurel (but it's stretching the floral theme into trees)

ChynaDoll2006 · 30/09/2010 23:22

Verbena is nice.

Zinnia is the mum out of Matilda.

nannylocal · 30/09/2010 22:30

Lupin sounds like a medical complaint...Like Zinnia though.

I like Zinnia :)

Ho ho Lupin didn't go down very well! My favourite children's book had a girl in it called Lupin - I guess it doesn't have such nice connotations for anyone else! Thanks for all the suggestions and good feedback about Zinnia (is a bit crazy though - no?)

Other faves are:

Hebe - seems to come out as a favourite on this thread
Rowan
Hazel
Bryony - forgot this is a flower, and it's a lovely name

Thanks!

Perrywinkle is an unusual flower name.

I offered possibilities, after that it's a question of personal taste!
(I quite like it actually, although certainly not as a first name.)
