Opinions on Cora?

I think it's pretty and quite unusual (I don't see it around much at all) while still being a simple and easy name.

Thinking of Cora Jane...

What do you think?

I like it, twas on my shortlist for a while... I think Last of The Mohicans was where it originated?? This may be wrong. I always thought it was an Irish name because the cute curly haired girl on Titanic was called Cora!

I like it. I know of one little girl called Cora, she's the only one I've ever come across, and she's lovely. And very talented. So I have all positive associations with it!

I think it's lovely. Cora Jane has a really nice rhythm. It is a bit old fashioned but so is Florence and that's super popular right now!

I associate it with middle aged ladies, and I think I would put it in the Ethel and Mavis category personally.

I love it because it reminds me of Agatha Christie. I can't remember the exact book but there's a very elegant Cora in it. I certainly prefer it to Clara/Cara/Coralie/Claudia.

DS2's godmother (we have been friends since school) is called Cora. I think it is a lovely name.

Unusual and pretty.

Particularly like Jane as a middle name - so much more classy than the usual Rose, Grace or May.

hi i worked with a Cora yrs ago, young woman, i always loved the simplicity of it.

there is now one at dd's school. great name imo.

I think that sounds lovely. Haven't come across any Coras either, it is quite refined somehow.
