My dh won't discuss names yet as its too early (he reckons) so I'd like to know what you all think of the names I like.

Boys:
Callum
Dylan

Girls:
Clara
Phoebe (but our surname begins with a B - would the B B sound be a bit weird?)

Looking foward to your opinions.

Dylan always makes me think of the magic roundabout, sorry.
Clara and Phoebe are pretty, but Phoebe B.... might be a bit much

I know three Dylans. Thy al have red hair and are lovely. I like it.

Callum is nice as well.

Does your surname begin with BE? If not, then it should be ok for Phoebe.

Phoebe Bell sounds wrong but Phoebe Brown sounds fine so it depends on your B surname.
I like Dylan and Calum and Phoebe, not quite so keen on Clara but it's not horrible Wink

Callum - ok
Dylan - makes me think of the

Clara - love
Phoebe - love but agree with not using it if your family name begins with Be.

Clara - nice.
Phoebe - don't like (but I think I'm in the minority generally on that one!).

Callum - not one for me I'm afraid
Dylan - love it, wanted it for DS but DH veto-ed it

Clara - ok, but always worry about people thinking you mean Claire or Cara, Clara is a family name on my side though.

Phoebe - Really like it, although makes me think of friends

Phoebe - neutral/slightly dislike

but ignore us and go for the one you love!

I like your girls names they're both lovely. Would possibly go with Clara is your surname begins with B though. Not as keen on your boys names, but Dylan is best than Callum.

I like Clara and it's not too popular round here anyway. Agree Phoebe Burton, Phoebe Bathurst sound a bit odd. You're sort of saying "BeBe"

Dylan makes me think of Bob; Callum does not have the best connotations for me I am afraid so it wouldn't be my choice.

Clara is gorgeous!

Phoebe okay but might be tricky with your surname.

Of the boys' names I prefer Dylan, but both okay although neither grab me personally

Really don't like Callum, just one of those names that seems like a 'naughty name' which is irrational and stupid I agree but of all the children I have known, Callum's are always the naughty ones.

Love your other choices though!

Dylan is beautiful,

Think Clara and Phoebe are both lovely.

Like Clara, much prefer that to Phoebe.Never really been that fond of Phoebe as a name but it is popular. Also like Dylan. Nice names that you have shortlisted.

I like both of your girl names, particularly Phoebe. I do like Dylan, but know loads under five years old. Not keen on Callum.

Hmm thanks guys. I think at the moment I'm favouring Clara over Phoebe, as I am concerned over the BeBe sound, and I still can't make my mind up between Callum and Dylan. Perhaps when my dh decides to discuss, his opinion might help Hmm

Love Callum, good balance of masculine but not harsh sounding.

Dylan - not so keen, know a lot of dog's called Dylan, then the magic roundabout connection and Bob Dylan... not a bad name just wouldn't consider it myself.

Clara is a lovely, classy, intelligent sounding name but still girly.

Phoebe I don't like much. Would depend on the surname Phoebe Barton sounds fine, Phoebe Beale doesn't.
