So - Got a little man on the way in ten weeks time! Wish he would hurry up now - I'm over the pregnancy thing now.. !

So, I am toying with the following, please be honest and let me know which you prefer:

Freddie
Francis
Sonny
Alexander
Dennis
Laurence

I guess I could combine a couple... It's such pressure deciding on a name for a human being, isn't it? x

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I quite like Freddie but not Frederick ... Fred would work.
I love Sonny - a little nick namey but so what - we nearly called our little boy Jonty!
Alexander is a little boring for me ...
Def not Dennis!!
Or Laurence - they are both 'middle aged' to me.
It is so hard, esp with boys but also if you as on here someone will always either really love or hate your name!!! It has to be your decision ... but at the end of the day it is good for impartial votes.

Best of luck!!!

Alexander or Laurence

Marjee · 08/09/2010 21:05

I love Sonny. Alexander and Francis are nice too, don't like the others though I can only imagine them belonging to an old man not a child sorry!

withorwithoutyou · 08/09/2010 21:01

I think they're all pretty nasty, except for Alexander, which is nice.

mathanxiety · 08/09/2010 21:00

Alexander and Francis are the only ones I like.

flopsy1974 · 08/09/2010 20:33

Alexander - easily the best name.

beccas · 08/09/2010 20:14

All ok except for Freddie, when he is a grown man, he may wish his name was more serious for example in business.

Vine · 08/09/2010 20:11

Freddie - Babyish
Francis - ok
Sonny - Nice
Alexander - Nice
Dennis - Awful
Laurence - ok

ozmetric · 08/09/2010 17:56

Freddie - like, as nn for Frederick
Francis - like
Sonny - dislike, too nicknamey
Alexander - like
Dennis - not keen
Laurence - like

Laurence Francis
Laurence Alexander
Laurence Frederick
Alexander Laurence
Alexander Frederick
Alexander Francis
Francis Alexander
Frederick/Freddie Alexander
Frederick/Freddie Laurence

.... would all be good names :)

Rapscallion · 08/09/2010 17:30

Hey I never thought of Alexander Laurence together.. Hmmm...

Francis could be Frankie if he so chooses in later life, which appeals to me. I do love Freddie though... x

Alexander.
Laurence though I would spell it Lawrence.

Alexander Laurence Smith sounds great. :)

JustDoMyLippyThenWeWillGo · 08/09/2010 17:25

I love Freddie. Would have picked that, but DH thinks full name must be official name and not keen Frederick. Also like Laurence, and Laurie for short is nice too, I think.

Francis or Laurence
