Doris.
I think i like it, i think it might go on our list (although dh seems to be the only one allowed a list - he is saying no to all my namesHmm).
Unfortunately the 2nd mn has to be Denise, so it would be something like

Doris Juniper Denise or
Doris Violet Denise.

Anyway - we have a whole list of 4 now, none of which drive me wild but they are ok, as dh will not give in to any of mine at all . . . . .

So, as if i could not guess, any thoughts on Doris?

What about Dora?

I don't like Doris at all.

Yes, Denise is a family name. dd2 has mil name as her mn, so I feel i have to put my mums name in the mn spot this time. Rubbish name though Grin, but mum is lovely, so its no big deal!
Dory he might do for (or maybe as a nn for Doris).
I know he does not like Adora (too frilly), Dorcas or Audrina/Audrey.

I think Doris is a terrible name.

Sorry.

Is Denise a family name?

belgo · 27/08/2010 11:55

It's fine. And Denise as a second middle name also sounds fine.

comtessa · 27/08/2010 11:54

Dorcas? Audrina (Drina for short). (scratches head thinking of D names)

My DH's late GM was called Dora, her husband was Elmer. If DH's uncle had been a girl they were planning on calling her Dorelle...

Hmmm apart from the actual 'list' I would be thinking we were married to the same man!!

Mine has vetoed literally 100's of my suggestions.

I like Dory more than Doris it is more modern sounding. Or Adora - worth a try?

5DollarShake · 27/08/2010 11:14

Hmm, not to my taste at all. And if you have to go with Denise, then I'd be even more inclined to avoid.

Tell your DH to wind his neck in. Grin you're carrying and delivering the baby - he can't veto all your choices.

There's a little girl in my DD's class at school called Doris. I like it. Not sure it goes with Denise though.

SirBoobAlot · 27/08/2010 10:52

I actually like Doris a little. But it doesn't work with Denise.
