Logan, Autumn, Ocean and ....... help!

Hi there,

We have a Logan, Autumn, Ocean and are now trying to think of another name that will go nicely.

We are trying to keep with the nature theme and also wondering if we need another 'n' name??

We are going round in circles and getting nowhere. The only names we have come up with are:

Beauden for a boy
Summer for a girl.
Sedona (we got married there).

All probably not right though - Beauden ?, Summer with Autumn probably too contrived and Sedona sounds like 'donor' plus it's a car.

Would so love any thoughts.

...As long as your surname isn't "Tick"

someone had to say it Grin

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 24/08/2010 22:06

It sounds a lot more like "lunar" but that's ok - loony means someone who goes crazy at full moon anyway doesn't it? I think it's a lovely name - there's a character called this in Harry Potter and the actress who plays her is really lovely.

Wow! Thanks for all these wonderful suggestions - will go through them with dh tonight : ) One that does really appeal is Luna - I love that name - but surely it is just too like 'looney'? Has nobody thought of this - it comes to my mind immediately and I wouldn't like to be found shouting 'looney' in the supermarket aisles!

CheerfulYank · 24/08/2010 02:55

I like Stella, Luna, Bracken, and Rowan. And Williow. And Indigo, and Phoenix. :)

I don't think you need to think too much about the "n" ending, especially since "Autumn" doesn't end with an "n" sound the way most people say it.

What about Sunny as an alternative to Summer? Or Luna (as in moon)?

I also like Forest for a boy (especially since you have an Ocean. Or you could go with Woody!), or Rowan for either boy or girl.

Beaumont if you like Beau as a nn. Also translates as beautiful mountain so kind of fits in with the nature theme?

pranma · 23/08/2010 17:25

I like Storm for a boy
Tansy or Briony for a girl maybe
I knew a boy called Forest in USA

DastardlyandSmugly · 23/08/2010 15:40

Raven?

BuntyPenfold · 23/08/2010 15:27

I know a Midwinter - fab name. If due then obviously.

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 23/08/2010 09:50

Couldn't you just spell it Blaze? Or love Ash because you've got the tree element there too.

I don't think Sedona is very nice, nor the two seasons together.

Psammead · 23/08/2010 09:42

Linden?

SoupDragon · 23/08/2010 09:41

Phonetically, Autumn ends with an M though.

Wallace · 23/08/2010 07:06

I thought Bracken too

Jamieandhismagictorch · 23/08/2010 06:04

Also -

A1980 · 22/08/2010 23:42

:) Have you only just noticed now?

arizonagirl · 22/08/2010 23:29

Hi A1980. It was a complete coincidence but now we have noticed the trend, we are wondering whether we should look for another 'n' name. Does restrict us a lot more so tempted to forget about it : )

Is it deliberate or conincidence that all of the names end with the letter n?

Would you like the final name to finsih with an n too?

arizonagirl · 22/08/2010 19:17

Love Winter but again, we have an Autumn. Love Blaise and we seriously thought about this but apparently it means 'to stutter, stammer' - not nice. Serendepity - congrats on your boy bundle to be - I do tend to agree with you and we have also thought quite seriously about Willow. And I absolutely love Phoenix BUT our surname starts with an F and it sounds a complete mouthful. But some great ideas and some wonderful firey names and I am so grateful to everyone : )
