Middle name would be Harriet. One is my favourite the other is DH's favourite.

Have been reading the comments with a Grin

DD1's first name is India and DD2's middle name is Anya, so I obviously love them both. You have excellent taste Smile

Happylassy · 23/08/2010 12:27

Thank you everyone! My favourite has clearly won out and I think DH is now convinced!!!

"It's like calling your daughter Denmark"

Anya is a lovely name.

BuzzingNoise · 20/08/2010 09:22

Anya is a beautiful name. India is a country.

diddl · 20/08/2010 09:10

India.

lowrib · 20/08/2010 08:59

Anya, lovely name Smile

Rockbird · 20/08/2010 08:55

Anya definitely.

India is ridiculous. Just because it ends in -ia doesn't make it a name.

-Oh lovely, what did you call your baby?

  • Australia

Hmm :o

PYT · 19/08/2010 20:21

Anya is lovely.

India ia pretentious and a bit of a 'fashion' name in my opinion.

pointydog · 19/08/2010 20:11

ANya

loler · 19/08/2010 20:07

My Anya is 7, always had nice things said about her name and has never had it spelt wrongly (unlike her brothers name).

I quite like India but not sure if I would want to be called it?

Wouldn't worry too much if the middle name really goes - they are so rarely called the whole name in full!

DinahRod · 19/08/2010 20:01

Anya

SirBoobAlot · 19/08/2010 20:00

Anya.

India is a country, not a name.

MamaVoo · 19/08/2010 19:58

Anya is very pretty. India is awful but the uber posh seem to love it.

horatia · 19/08/2010 19:35

Anya is a little awkward to say with Harriet IMO. Would you consider Anna?

lurcherlover · 19/08/2010 19:09

Anya. I don't get the India thing - don't see how it's different from Italy or Australia. Anya is pretty.

bigstripeytiger · 19/08/2010 18:33

Anya. India is OK, but Anya is lovely.

horatia · 19/08/2010 18:31

I much prefer Anya to India. Agree that Indira is lovely too.

Jamieandhismagictorch · 19/08/2010 18:26

hairy - Indira is a beautiful name.

TattyCatty · 19/08/2010 18:24

Anya - it was the name I always wanted to call a daughter when I was younger, but sadly it doesn't work with our surname.

hairymelons · 19/08/2010 18:22

Indira? I think it's a beautiful name.

Jamieandhismagictorch · 19/08/2010 18:19

Anya, most definitely.

Like Valium says - you could do Andrea, and have Andi as ann

ValiumSingleton · 19/08/2010 16:03

Kim Bassinger and Alec Baldwin's daughter is called Ireland which is so unattractive imo. And weird.

SparklyJules · 19/08/2010 16:00

Anya is lovely. India is a country, it's like calling your daughter Denmark.

SqueezyB · 19/08/2010 15:46

love Anya, HATE India with a passion, sorry! It's just that, well, it's a country, not a name!

racheyh · 19/08/2010 15:28

I've seen an Andia and thought is was really nice and unusual if you wanted a mix of the two.
