Bonnie??

Went to see Toy Story 3 with the kids yesterday and the gorgeous little girl in it was called Bonnie so it got me thinking.....

Other names on shortlist so far are Verity and Scarlett

Opinions please

In order I like Bonnie, Verity, Charlotte, then Scarlett.

Margeaux · 06/08/2010 16:38

I love Verity

Kathleen123 · 06/08/2010 16:25

Verity is lovely.

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 06/08/2010 16:11

I'm always very nervous about giving children names that they may not live up to...

pranma · 06/08/2010 16:09

Verity is gorgeous

muminthemiddle · 06/08/2010 12:17

I like Charlotte too.
Like the rest of your list so not really much help!

skidoodly · 06/08/2010 11:45

Charlotte nicest of those.

Verity next.

Scarlett after that.

Bonnie last.

Was't "biggest tits in Huddersfield" called Lesley?

3plusbump · 06/08/2010 11:39

A bit of more positive feedback this morning I see!

Mentioned Bonnie to Dh this morning and he likes it.

He's also come up with Charlotte (nn Lottie) which I really like too so now our shortlist (or should it be 'getting longer list') is now:

Verity
Charlotte (Lottie)
Bonnie
Scarlett

Confused

I watched an American film with a Bonnie in recently and til the credits rolled I'd have sworn they were calling her Barnie! Not a bad name but not great in some accents!

Will always remind me of Bonnie Langford though, but there's worse people to be reminded of

thumbwitch · 06/08/2010 06:57

Good singer's name
Bonnie Raitt
Bonnie Tyler
Actually, even Bonnie Langford is a reasonable singer.

queenofallshesurveys · 06/08/2010 06:48

I know a Bonnie, it suits her very well (despite my initial thought on being told her name was 'Bonnie Langford') and it gets shortened to Bo which I like as well.

mathanxiety · 06/08/2010 06:17

I love Bonnie. It's far nicer than Scarlett and Verity.

nooka · 06/08/2010 05:50

I know a grown up Bonnie, and she's a lovely person (not particularly bonnie though I've no idea what she looked like as a baby!). I was interested to see that it's not a derivative of a longer name, but after the Scottish "bonnie" (from the French bon = good).

Ooh no, but I have a hankering for a little girl named something seneible but with the nickname Minnie. (And I am not even pregnant).

Verity is nice.

Wanderingsheep · 05/08/2010 22:33

But the other names that you have picked are perfectly lovely!

3plusbump · 05/08/2010 22:30

Hmm, That went well then!

Blue Peter dog?
Bonnie Langford??
Pretty but fat???
Biggest tits in Huddersfield???

Sounds like my hormones have kicked in again

I get to 6 months pregnant and I'm not safe to be let loose with the baby name finder....

catinthehat2 · 05/08/2010 20:23

It was indeed she. Sorry Bonnies everywhere

Wanderingsheep · 05/08/2010 20:22

Sorry, I think Bonnie is a dog's name too. OMG, Bonnie from BB! She wasn't very bonnie was she?!

Scarlett is lovely .

5DollarShake · 05/08/2010 20:18

Was Bonnie from BB the one with the 'biggest tits in Huddersfield' (apart from her mam and her nan)? Or am I mixing her up with some other class act one else?

5DollarShake · 05/08/2010 20:16

I like Bonnie, think Scarlett is over-done, and really, really do not like Verity (but recognise that for some unfathomable reason I am in a minority on that ).

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 05/08/2010 19:54

Bonnie is cute on a little girl but too cutesy for an adult, IMO. Which is a pity as there is a Bonnie I would rather like to name a DD after.

catinthehat2 · 05/08/2010 19:51

Bonnie will always be Bonneh from Big Brother for me. Beyond ghastly unfortunately - it will take a long time for that one to die out in my mind.

imahappycamper · 05/08/2010 19:42

What about Bonita, shortened to Bonnie?

Tortington · 05/08/2010 19:38

where i come from bonnie is a euphamism for pretty but fat.
