Can no longer see the wood for the trees! Which of these do you like for with a two syllable surname?

Eloise
Cassie
Josie
Stella
Sylvie
Iris

I don't know many little children, please flag up if any of these have become mega popular!

I like Cassie and Josie best from your list (particularly with Cassandra/Josephine as full name).

rachel234 · 30/07/2010 13:38

I like Eloise. Agree that a 1 or 3 syllable name works best.

Cassie is my favourite as it's DD's name

She's nearly 2 and I've never met another yet. I've also never seen a Cassie on CBeebies or Milkshake birthdays
(this is my yardstick for name popularity!)

I also love Sylvie but I think only if you are French or have French connections.

Josie is cute!

Don't like Stella because of the wife-beater association

Eloise is a bit 'wet' sounding.

Iris doesn't do it for me.

Colliecross · 30/07/2010 13:32

Sylvie is the only one of your list that I (quite) like, sorry.

mopsyflopsy · 30/07/2010 13:32

sorry, didn't check my spelling - nickname

mopsyflopsy · 30/07/2010 13:32

I'd choose a 1 or 3 syllable first name to balance the 2 syllable surname.

Cassandra( nicknama Cassie) is lovely!
