Hi,
I love the name Orlaith, when i mentioned it to dd1 she said "all aboard"! This has put me off a bit as our surname is Wright, so she'd be called Orlaith Wright - does this sound like you are asking the question "all right? are you all right? are you all a right?" DYSWIM?? Or am I going mad?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

thanks pauline i agree, the "all aboard" thing doesn't bother me it's more the michael barrymore thing
looks like i'll have to go back to the drawing board!

It sounds fine, really, you're overthinking it. And how many of the above posters would have thought of that off their own bat?

And eeeeeeeeven if it was the case, there are about a zillion worse combinations of names that you could have. My mother wanted to call me Justin (before I came out a girl obviously!) and my dad refused because he said everyone would say Justin time . Bloody glad he objected because Justin? No thanks! But all the same, daft reason for objecting.

Sorry, I'm a bit stroppy but I hate to see people put off names they love for stupid reasons and this is a stupid reason.

I have an Orla and noone has ever said all aboard. Funny!
I think Orlaith with the surname Wright is a bit comedy though sorry. Sounds like Michael Barrymore.

rockbird it's not the name orlaith it's the combinatin of orlaith wright I was concerned about.

You're going mad. That wouldn't occur to me in a million years and obviously hasn't occurred to the parents of the many Orlaith/Orlas around the world.

Could be tricky then.
