Think Bunny was a bit harsh but I agree it sounds posh! I'd have Etta for short if I was going with Henrietta I think, for what it's worth

It's one of my most hated names of all time.

It just sounds so ugly and mannish. And off-puttingly posh. I would expect a Henrietta to look like Prince Harry in drag.

I really like Hettie and Etta, but don't really like Henrietta unfortunately.

Love it. I prefer it to Harriet. Love the nn Etta (after Etta James), or Hettie.

Love it though agree with MrsWoolf on the nn. Would have put in our shortlist but our last name begins with H and I wanted to avoid alliteration.

I know a small child named Henrietta and everyone calls her Hen - awful.

The only Henrietta I've ever known has always been called Hennie.

It's a nice name, but it will never lose it's 'posh horsey girl' association for me.

Nice. Think I slightly prefer the French version Henriette (Onh-riette) but wouldn't have the guts to go that way.

Love it. Absolutely gorgeous. Henry or Henny for short. Definitely chic not shabby.

Also like Harriet as Capitaltext suggested. Both were on my list of girl's names.

I quite like Henrietta, not so keen on Henny though. Also like Harriet/Hattie.
