Elspeth shortened to Elsie - what do you think?

Ive finally got dh round to my way of thinking and we are planning on going with this name - what do you reckon?

I like it - bit Scottish but there's nothing wrong with that. I think it's one of those "old lady" names which will suddenly become ultra trendy and you can be all smug (which would be unbelievably shallow of you, but what the hell).

Hmm bit of divided opinion! I love Elspeth + Elsie so tbh I am just canvassing opinions!

Don't really like Elspeth, sounds a bit like Elizabeth prounced wrong. Love Elsie and better again Elsa.

Don't like Elsie either. Elsa is lovely, though.
