What are your thoughts on Sonny as a middle name? Simple as that. Ta!

Funnily enough I have just heard this name in the playground and quite liked it, really cute.
What name is it to go with?

MamaLazarou · 13/07/2010 17:21

It's a brilliant name.

Fine as a middle name. I do like it as a first name, but only as a nn

My son is called Sonny but its his first name.

I named him after a really good friend of mine.

It totally suits my son & i'm so glad i didn't name him William which is what my dh wanted.

A lot of people didn't like my choice of name as it doesn't work well with my daughters name.

I really like it... well i would say though wouldn't i.

I'm another one with a Sonny a first name. So obviously I love it. I had thought it was quite unusual but I'm finding out there seems to be quite a few of them around!!

I'm interested to know what the first name will be though?

The first name will either be Jasper,
Albert or Benjamin. What do you think?

A great middle name.

Firawla · 13/07/2010 19:39

i hear alot of them around lately, but it is a nice name, it sounds cheerful

Chunkamatic · 13/07/2010 20:22

I like all 3 of your first name choices. Albert is probably my favourite, although I think that goes well with Sonny the least. Not sure why, I just don't think it sounds that easy together! Would you consider having 2 middle names? I don't know why but I think if you were to have Albert Sonny George (for example - that was just the name that came into my head!) it seems a bit more complete.

But then all the people in my family and in DP's have 2 middle names so I might just think that about everyone!

Don't think it goes with any of your first name choices, tbh. Though they're all nice names
