Should I tell my boyfriend the real reason I don't want a baby with him?

I have been with my boyfriend six years and he tries to encourage me to have his baby. He has no children, I have one. I have told him I do not want to start again having kids at my age - 40 - when I already have a teenage girl.
However, I am not adverse to the idea in itself, but I don't want a baby with him.
There is one simple reason - I don't want a ginger haired kid and I don't want a boy.
The chances of having a boy would be high - he is one of three brothers, his brothers have boys. They are all ginger. My boyfriend is the best looking of the brothers, the others are quite neanderthal looking although intelligent. Their kids are real odd looking and I just don't want to run the risk of having a kid who looks like them.
Should I tell him this? I have already said that if he really wants to have children he needs to think about moving on from our relationship.
Plus the thought of being tied to my boyfriend in this way for life is not what I want. I think I have had too good an example set with my girl, she is beautiful and intelligent and my relationship with her father is a great friendship which I will keep for life and I am pleased with it all as a whole. I also worry about not being able to love a new child as much as my girl -so perhaps the ginger thing is an excuse?
Any thoughts anyone?

MrsM you went to all the trouble of having children with a black man to give them the best possible chance and they still end up ginger?! You poor thing

(ps I am ginger in case I'm about to be hounded off MN...)

Please let this man go so he can find a loving woman to have a family with.

Ginger people are gorgeous IMHO. I have always thought so.

I'll stop feeding the troll now.

Hmm
Tidey · 11/05/2009 15:02

That is, laughing at the crap trolling, not at the nastiness towards ginger people, obviously.

BigBellasBeerBelly · 11/05/2009 15:02

i quite like the neanderthal look myself

TheProvincialLady · 11/05/2009 15:02

If you do want more children you'd better move on swiftly as it can't be easy to find a replacement when you're that shallow

Tidey · 11/05/2009 15:01

I was until I got to 'neanderthal looking although intelligent'. Then I started laughing.

BigBellasBeerBelly · 11/05/2009 15:01

If you find ginger boys and men so repulsive then why are you shagging one?

MrsMattie · 11/05/2009 15:01

Are you taking the piss?

Lulumama · 11/05/2009 15:00

ooooh, offensive on so many levels...

i don;t think he should have children with someone as shallow and judgemental as you

next!

StealthPolarBear · 11/05/2009 14:59

If this isn't a joke then you don't think much of him - definitely get out now.

mayorquimby · 11/05/2009 14:58

B- would have been an A+ but you laid it on a little too thick

Springfleurs · 11/05/2009 14:57

Yes tell him this and give him a chance to find a decent girlfriend.

Although I know this is not a serious thread. No-one could be this horrible surely?
