Just read about this poor man Rubin who had severe learning disabilities and was starved,tortured and beat to death,weighing just 6stone and made to eat from bins before he died.his evil stepbrother and his wife have been jailed for life, but its just not enough. I've never been so heartbroken readng about Rubin and how badly he was failed. Poor love was one of life's most vulnerable and no doubt under the so called care of social Work ,Dr's learning disabilities disciplinary teams so just how was he failed so badly and without questions.whats going on in this country that no follow up no questions are asked when someone is taking the care of such an individual.
My son is severely autistic non verbal and severly learning disabled and reading this has chilled me to the bone,really hurt my heart ,will he actually be cared for when im no longer able will anyone care or check if hes been looked after, will bruises or unexplained weightloss just be accepted.
i read of parents with children like mine who adore and live for their kids and then end up dying taking their disabled child,adult with them,everyone always says how could the parents, I more than ever completely understand why.Firstly there's no help and when you do ask you are made to fight for it as parents,and jump through idiotic loopholes.then there's people like these who take on so called care but get away with torture and murder of our vulnerable because its easier to ignore than help the disabled person.
God help our disabled God help them, there's no one else.
