AIBU not warning a woman her shorts had ridden up?

Went for a coffee this morning. A “mature” lady was sitting with male friend at opposite table. I didn’t take much notice, but, suddenly, looking up across the cafe I couldn’t help seeing that her very short shorts had ridden up, she evidently wasn’t wearing isn’t pants underneath and all or almost all was revealed. I immediately looked away but she stayed put for the duration of my visit. Should I have warned her? I was too embarrassed to say anything. WWYHD?

In Fife in the late '70s/ early '80s, the code for a petticoat on show was "It is raining in France". I'm really not sure as to how that expression came to be. Perhaps because of "lingerie" being a loanword?

We used to say "It's snowing down south" here.

Absolutely not.

On further thoughts, I have an awful feeling that what I saw wasn’t female anatomy and the “lady” opposite was in fact a trans person. The protruding part, cone to think of it, was suspiciously male. The rest of the person was convincingly feminine.

Maybe she just had a big bulging fanny.
I always wear long tops as my own protrudes when I wear leggings. I have slim legs, someone could think that I had a penis.

Ah so now it’s a trans person and a trans issue 🙄

Were they cycling shorts, OP, or denim-type ones? Surely you’d only get FlapRoam™️ with extremely baggy legs, not with tight shorts?

"FlapRoam™️"

😂😂

Thats shocking. I would have thought the security would ask them to stop and leave.

Just as well I didn't say anything.

Mine are.
something to look forward to as we all inevitably age

I know of ' 'you're flying low', for undone flies ( or is it flys?), but have never heard of these. Shall ask at my sewing group on Tuesday.

If someone told me ‘It’s raining in France’ or ‘Charlie’s dead’ I’d assume I looked like their Mi6 handler

I'm dying to know if "mature" means 35+ because the OP is 23 or 80+ becuase the OP is 40. (Please fill in your own numbers as appropriate)

All I meant was that she was a middle-aged woman. I am a very old woman.

People used to discreetly say "Charlie's dead" to alert of a petticoat that was showing; so surely a new, appropriate, widely-understood euphemism can be found? Something like "I see that Aunt Frances has now departed from the station", maybe?

I’ve seen something along these lines too. On a public bench on a Summer day in London. I wondered if the women were prostitutes, two men (70 ish) two women (similar age). Groping and far worse exhibitionist stuff, totally inappropriate for anywhere public. Uggh. Tawdry.

Yeuch!

How many fanny flaps do we need to see on show to justify a well known phrase or saying?

I was in my local tesco noticed a young girl in very short skirt and loose shirt . Everytime she bent over the veg her entire vulva and bare breasts were exposed she had an audience of old men enjoying the show . Ive daughters her age and thought I was doing right to tip her off in case she was unaware . She completely kicked off at me calling me a jealous fat old b*tch!!! Security came over to see what was happening and told me that there is always young girls doing the same and filming content for OF etc . I had no idea, I was just trying to be kind and look out for another woman never again!

Thats shocking. I would have thought the security would ask them to stop and leave.

Haven't read all the replies but...Am I the only one thinking of Gunther in Friends saying, 'Hey buddy, this is a family place, put the mouse back in the house'?

I wasn't, but I am now. 😆

It's possible.

Some years back a couple in their 60s were sitting at a table opposite me in - of all places - the food section of Waverley Market in Edinburgh and behaving in a most peculiar exhibitionist manner. I didn't realise what was happening at first, it was so bizarre...and there was hardly anyone there at the time, unusually.

There would be a loud noise and it wold be one of the couple banging rhythmically on the table and then grinning at the other. Okay. Weird, noisy and annoying.

Then I realised that it was some kind of a signal. (No, I'm not barmy.)

At one point, the bloke grabbed the woman on the chest just after she'd banged on the table. That was when I finished my coffee and left.

Grey-haired, bespectacled, wearing woolly hats and woolly jumpers. I recall wondering where there was some kind of a learning disability, given the banging on the table.

Never saw them again, thank goodness.

The age of the woman may be relevant. As age increases collagen and skin elasticity are lost, so the flaps get flappier and more likely to flop out of short shorts.

Well it isn't always tight enough. I'm long bodied and have to wear costumes a size "too big" and I sometimes tighten the legs on my own costumes. Now I wear boy short styles to avoid any loose leg issues.

I don't know how big your own belly is, you may be fine, but I often see what happens when big women climb the steps out of the pool wearing a wet swimming costume.

I was on the tube years ago and a guy got on in
sports shorts , sat down and crossed his legs . His whole dick came out the bottom of the shorts and rested on the seat 🤮 the next thing the doors opened and a group of teenage schoolgirls got on , queue much pointing and laughing and the most hilarious rendition of ‘ dick poking out dick poking out your dick is poking ououeeout’ . He got off the next stop at a sprint .

My mate Paul reckons it was a bloke with a penis tuck, with his shaved bollocks nudging out of his fetish leisure wear shorts in a vegan cafe in Sussex. That’s what Paul says and he should know to be honest.
