It's not regional. People seem to have stopped using 'ed' at the end of past participles recently.
I frequently see 'I use to .....' , 'He is bias' and other examples.

Doesn't make me as mad as 'eating healthy' instead of 'eating healthily' though.

'Pack up' was a Yorkshire variation - and probably other places - which I remember even as a child. So from ancient times.

'Pack lunch' has coincided with smartphone use, along with 'worse' when they really mean 'worst'.
And on it goes...

It was pack lunch when I was at school and that was a very long time before smartphones!

I also hate the word ‘meal’ for some reason. ‘Eating my meal’ just makes me shudder for some reaaon 🤷‍♀️

Dinner as I’m a southerner. Supper is quite a middle class twee term for it 🤢 and I don’t think regional?

There is no such thing as 'correct' when it comes to language, it is organic and constantly changing. Some of our ancesters would be confused or even appalled at the way we speak today. You can embrace change or get offended by it, either way you aren't going to stop it!

Where I live it’s often called bait, butty box or grub. I hope I didn’t ruin your day.
It’s a regional variation - a pack with lunch in = pack lunch for some people.

It was "pack lunch" when I first went to school back in the 70s. Maybe it's a regional variation, but when it's been used for around 50 years I think it's considered to be an accepted usage.

It's in a pack. Pack lunch is fine. Pack is a noun and a verb.

You don't call ice cream 'iced cream' do you? Even though that's originally how it came to have that name.
