Will this be safe to eat?

Bought two of the Asda make your own pizzas yesterday (Thursday) for the kids to have as a treat tomorrow evening (Saturday). One veggie, one meaty ( pepperoni, ham and ground beef). Just noticed the use by date is today so moved them to the freezer but they have been in the fridge overnight when I guess I really ought to have frozen them on the day of purchase. Will they be ok to eat?

It’s not that deep dingbat. You asked a bit of a silly question and got some lighthearted responses. People joking about talking pizzas and making corn jokes aren’t bullying you.

I'm still eating some coleslaw that was use by 10 September. It's fine and not fizzy at all.

Well sweetcorn does, I have to include the last one from the side of the tin so it doesn't feel rejected. Ditto baked beans.

The amount of salt & preservative in pepperoni, ham and those weird beef bits - that meaty pizza will outlive you in the fridge.

I could go on a lecture about the hurdle effect and how use by dates are created but that's boring.

Your one day out of date pizza is fine in the fridge.

Pepperoni is a cured meat. Ham and ground beef a little more risky. Anyway thank you all I will give my head a wobble.

Like everyone else said, I wouldn't have even put them in the freezer. They'll be absolutely fine.

I did think about leaving them in the fridge but with it being a use by date and one containing meat I didn’t want to risk it as it’s for the kids. If it was just me I wouldn’t be so bothered lol. Would you defrost them before cooking or cook from frozen?

Microwave them to kill any germs.
