DS has just finished uni. He had to resit something so is waiting for results.
He has lived at home throughout.
He wanted better wifi for gaming so he set up a contract himself. Think that is £30 a month which I do use.
He gives me £40 per month
His other bills are his phone top (£10) up then subscriptions (x box gaming pass and Netflix)
I have been a single parent since he was tiny. I am paying all the bills other than the £40 he gives. I am buying food although he buys snacks and things like expensive cereal he wants and drinks.
Throughout uni he has worked.
Part time through term and more during the holidays.
At worst he comes out with £700 a month. At best £1500 plus
He doesn't pay for transport
He doesn't pay for driving lessons (my Dad pays for them)
He doesn't have other bills.
So even with the £30 contract, £10 phone top up, £40 to me and subscriptions he has at least £600 a month on a worse month just to spend. That's still a fair amount just to spend surely?
He is complaining about not having enough money, being skint and wanting to have enough money to do things while regularly having things delivered and spending a significant amount on games.
I'd love £500 a month just to spend on me after food and bills!
