A bit off topic, but I have a question.....
Lots of people these days seem to have "perfect" glaringly white teeth.
I think they look ridiculous (a bit like clones) but that is my personal opinion, and I have a dental phobia so it's never going to be for me...but these teeth are not their actual teeth so any children aren't necessarily going to have perfect, ultra white teeth - I mean, they might, but then again they might not.
Are we going to come to a point when future generations are subjected to cosmetic dentistry so that they resemble their parents?
I realise that sounds a bit goady - it really isn't meant to be, just something that I occasionally ponder about. My basic understanding of genetics suggests that surely mass uptake of purely cosmetic treatments can't have any impact on the state of the teeth of future generations but maybe I'm wrong?
