Seriously considering deleting Facebook as I can’t get away from this content.
does anyone else find it distressing that mothers are FILMING AND POSTING their children suffering? For attention and comments? It makes me feel physically sick

I've never put DS on social media, I would never have dreamed of putting his meltdowns on there.

I have two autistic children, both smear when they get the chance. Never would I photograph it or video it, the thought would never cross my mind. I deal with meltdowns daily, again why would I think to film it?

I am autistic also and if my mother ever filmed me having a meltdown and uploaded it for anyone and everyone to see I don’t think we’d be particularly close now!

No child should be filmed and put on SM whether they are SEN or not.

My Facebook feed is all ads for Emma Bridgwater mugs, London art galleries, local restaurants, Zambia travel tips, Labrador ownership and nice places to go paddle boarding.

You do know you can intentionally curate a more positive algorithm, right?

Just like I don’t want to see some guy being beheaded in the desert, I also wouldn’t want to see some poor child’s dignity violated and I’d act accordingly.

There's a lot of send mothers who do this to raise awareness they are a send parent and to get people to buy their dla/echp/pip guides it's basically marketing. In my eyes it's abuse.
