Page 4 | Can anyone help me choose which colour for the new SMEG air fryer??

I love it and have never had an air fryer before. Our kitchen is white gloss with wood floors and light grey work tops.

Please explain to me why you'd pay four times the price to have Smeg written on an appliance? I know this sounds like a criticism but it honestly isn't. I just don't understand why people pay more for certain brands.

I wanted a blue fridge and only Smeg made one. I possibly had more money than sense but it seemed perfectly reasonable at the time.

i bought a glass Ninja Crispi for £80 when it was on offer, it lives in a cupboard when not in use so my finally tuned aesthetic senses are not offended by its see through appearance. My kitchen is ancient (clean but ancient) with white microwave, white toaster and white kettle, all cheapo stuff from Argos but do the job and hopefully are not too offensive to the eye

I've got a SMEG toaster that I really like.

But with the airfryer it looks like just one compartment - I like my ninja one that's got two - so much more flexible.

We seem to live in an age where most people are either terrified of colour or perhaps, making decisions! Black, white and grey are the bottom of my list for everything - I cringe every time I watch Homes Under The Hammer and see a black and white kitchen... and everything in the house is grey - usually a decision made by a tight fisted bloke with no imagination IMHO. YOLO - just make a make a decision and move on and learn to not overthink things.

I’ve owned a Smeg fridge - sold it when we discovered the door wouldn’t shut properly and the milk kept going off, and a Smeg dishwasher, which was rubbish at cleaning dishes (but looked nice.) I vowed never to own another Smeg item ever again, but DH loved the look of their range cooker. It arrived with knobs snapped off, the main oven heats very unevenly even on fan setting, and the glass fell out of the grill door. It’s just shit. Like everything else I’ve bought from them. So if you want a shit kitchen appliance that looks pretty, just pick whichever colour of Smeg you like (but don’t actually use it!)

Without being crude, we all know what smeg is and emblazoned on a plastic looking box in big letters doesn’t really do it for me. I like appliances in cupboards and out of the way.

I don’t like air fryers - for me they’re pointless clutter. But looking at the links the SMEG one is considerably less unattractive than the Tower one, and why would anyone spend money on something that looked worse than it has to? So if I had to have one I’d go with the one that looked better. Those tower ones, like every air fryer I’ve seen, look cheap and nasty to me. No one is going to call the SMEG one nice, but it’s less horrible than anything else on the market, based on a quick google!

OP I don't have any space for an air fryer on my counters but if I did I would want it looking good too! I like the blue best on a standalone basis but I take another poster's point that black may actually be best if that matches your oven and (maybe) hob. And in your case white might be good but it would annoy me if it was a different shade than my cabinets. So black, or blue!

@OX0 seriously I have the ninja two drawer number. It gets used for chips and not much else. It will NOT be getting replaced when it breaks.

People kept telling me they were great. Its honestly not much different to my oven.
