Can anyone help me choose which colour for the new SMEG air fryer??

I love it and have never had an air fryer before. Our kitchen is white gloss with wood floors and light grey work tops.

I'd go blue or green as the black and white look cheap to me. Not as nice as is usual for SMEG appliances.

Agree - our airfryers have largely been chrome with black trim - we’ve had to replace one. Totally fine aesthetically in a kitchen fitted with cream/oak cupboards plus grey granite work tops and lots of chrome/steel appliances. You really don’t notice it after it’s been on the counter for a few weeks, whatever colour it is.

An alternative point of view is why spend north of £20k on a nice kitchen, including the best part of £1k on an integrated oven, to then spend £100 on a cheap plastic airfryer to clutter up the work surface and save a few pennies a day ;)

You might have guessed I’m not an air fryer fan…. But, if I had to have one I’d have one that looked as unplasticky as possible. Do Dualit do airfryers? :)

In my country there is a bit of a running joke with Smeg appliances.

In this case, it will be to cook chips that went to private school.

I realise there are cheaper ones but I don’t want a black plastic ugly box in the kitchen. I think it’s cool, I’m well aware that others won’t like it!

There's nothing "cool" about having the company name splayed across the front of your air fryer any more that there is having it splayed across your knickers.

Especially when it's "SMEG"

I can’t comment on the air fryer - but check the reviews . I have had a smeg toaster and kettle and whilst they look good , the quality isn’t great . Certainly for the kettle a much cheaper brand lasted and performed better .

Honestly I wouldn’t spend that amount of money if you’ve never tried an air fryer. I got one as I’m in a rental property temporarily and the electricity bills are huge. It has helped cut costs but honestly I really don’t like it much and can’t wait to move into my own home and start using the oven again. I bought one in a sale, it was £180 down to £80 , thank goodness I didn’t pay more. Can you borrow one to try ?
I love the look of Smeg electricals, I bought a kettle but in all honesty the lid doesn’t open properly and the enamel is chipping on the outside so I’m pretty disappointed.

I had a SMEG oven,it broke and the customer service was appalling,it took months to get it replaced. I have heard of similar stories too. I would never buy anything again,they really are style over substance.

I don't like the design of the air fryer,not having a handle means stopping it,opening the lid,using two hands to shake your chips or check the food...

I choose black in everything, but in your circumstances I would get the blue one. It's rather nice.

I have a toaster in the storm blue colour. It’s a beautiful muted blue. Very pretty

Green or blue are both lovely. Agree if you are spending the money you should get a pretty colour.

Just looked at them - it's a shame they're not in the same range of colours as their kettles and toasters. Not that I can afford any of them😆

I think I like the white one best.

They look really stylish. I’d choose the green one. It depends on your kitchen and other colours you have in there for accents though.

SMEG are all style and no substance if you are planning on using the air fryer you are better off with a different brand altogether

Keep it in a cupboard.
Ive rigged a pull out shelf so mine lives in the cupboard and is used pulled out in Front of the cupboard. It’s as ugly as sin and doesn’t matter.
