To absolutely hate this government, and what they are doing to our country? PART 2

A continuation of Thread 1.

Strong words but is is how I feel at this point in time. All of them make me feel physically sick. Why? Well many reasons.. Here are just two.

Eg. They won't release sex crime statistics of immigrants / asylum seekers. Why? Other European countries have done, and it is not pretty. Our gvt gives out a leaflet asking them not to rape the locals. Why? Our gvt has said they won't house asylum seekers next to schools and nurseries, why?

Eg. UK now spends more on benefits than it earns in income tax. Labour have increased this - not reduced it. Astonishing. As they say - "Who can we tax in order to pay benefits to others?" That's Labour's Welfare Secretary. He's describing the priorities of Labour MPs.

In the last financial year, the UK government brought in £331 billion in income tax — and spent even more, £333 billion, on welfare, according to the Office for Budget Responsibility's latest economic and fiscal outlook (obr.uk/efo/economic-and-fiscal-outlook-march-2026/#chapter-6).

your analogy doesn’t work. First of all, nobody on their first job pays 50% in total in tax. In fact apart from a few edge cases nobody gets near that. There are loads of other reasons it’s rubbish (not least that it’s borrowed form a silly meme about socialism which gets roundly debunked every time someone posts it).

Imagine a kid going for their first Saturday job. Working 10 hours, being paid 100GBP . Then being told Now we're going to give 50 GBP that you've earned to that kid over there. But he didn't do any work, he said he didn't want to. I earned that money! Ah yes but he should still be paid, it's only fair. Oh well next time I am not working either, and I will get 50GBP for nothing! What a deal.

I haven’t been particularly impressed but not unimpressed. I genuinely cannot bear another 5-10 years of discussing brexit though so if rejoining is in the next manifesto (I assume not another referendum) then I’ll vote anyone else

im really really sick and tired of having to read about how everything wrong with the country is due to brexit and how thankfully many brexiters have died and how everything will be better when we rejoin

how embarrassing that our government class don’t actually want to govern the country and would rather just rejoin the EU for their laws to become ours
lazt, uninspiring and pathetic
