To absolutely hate this government, and what they are doing to our country? PART 2

A continuation of Thread 1.

Strong words but is is how I feel at this point in time. All of them make me feel physically sick. Why? Well many reasons.. Here are just two.

Eg. They won't release sex crime statistics of immigrants / asylum seekers. Why? Other European countries have done, and it is not pretty. Our gvt gives out a leaflet asking them not to rape the locals. Why? Our gvt has said they won't house asylum seekers next to schools and nurseries, why?

Eg. UK now spends more on benefits than it earns in income tax. Labour have increased this - not reduced it. Astonishing. As they say - "Who can we tax in order to pay benefits to others?" That's Labour's Welfare Secretary. He's describing the priorities of Labour MPs.

In the last financial year, the UK government brought in £331 billion in income tax — and spent even more, £333 billion, on welfare, according to the Office for Budget Responsibility's latest economic and fiscal outlook (obr.uk/efo/economic-and-fiscal-outlook-march-2026/#chapter-6).

Good job I've no intention of doing it, since that isn't what I said.

It's not a threat. All you'll find are actual placemats; some are lovely but my goodness some are expensive.

BIossomtoes · 24/09/2026 16:29

It’s factual. Tommo is a convicted criminal.

I know he is.

LuckyHazelFox · 24/09/2026 16:30

Not sure why I'm being asked questions when assumptions are being made about my thoughts.

ilovesooty · 24/09/2026 16:30

BIossomtoes · 24/09/2026 16:29

It’s factual. Tommo is a convicted criminal.

Can't be disputed.

ilovesooty · 24/09/2026 16:29

I see Tommy Robinson is calling on supporters to donate £100,000 for Daniel Thomas' defence. Grifters, both of them.

BIossomtoes · 24/09/2026 16:29

LuckyHazelFox · 24/09/2026 16:28

No they aren't relevant but I'm used to seeing the ridiculous over egged language when describing right wingers.

BIossomtoes · 24/09/2026 16:26

Of course his convictions are relevant. I bet if he was an asylum seeker you’d be all over them.

I would approve of the confiscation of the dinghies, yes. Who owns them?

Would you not want to leave that to the authorities rather than a vigilante?

I doubt Thomas would take his garbage home with him and dispose of it.

placemats · 24/09/2026 16:28

LuckyHazelFox · 24/09/2026 16:24

Are his past convictions and nickname relevant to the the discussion of slashing of the dinghy? I said I would have preferred him to destroy the boat without anybody being in it.

He had no authority as a person on bail with a past conviction to seize anything, let alone be there.

It seems to me by your replies that you condone his actions by being there but are disappointed that he used a knife to slash a boat with a rescue win it.

However you look at it, he committed a criminal act and has been rightly arrested for it.

Taking away the props that are facilitating illegal entry should be a priority. Smashing the gangs we were promised, weren't we?

And that is something this Government is working on. And the previous government too. From gangs to boat suppliers. They are working on lots of things, with no quick fix. Unlike the tunnel, where that was effectively stopped by using Co2 probes on the lorries.

Do I think labour at working hard on it, yes. Do I think the Tories were working hard at it ? Yes.

What would be your solution ? A new different Government ? If so, what Party ?

International law such as SOLAS ( Safety of lives at sea), the various asylum treaties, and even UNCLOS, that mentions rescue services in territorial sea are not going to go away, no matter who is in power.

So what do you want to see happen ?

You're going to have a bit of a problem putting my name through AI.

Good job I've no intention of doing it, since that isn't what I said.

placemats · 24/09/2026 16:19

You did not cover the presence of a person in the boat that was being slashed by a convicted criminal, convicted for armed kidnapping over a drugs dispute. That person, you refuse to condemn is Danny 'Tommo' also known as Daniel Thomas.

I see it as distracting from a major problem in this country. I could always run it through AI to give @placemats the exact answer she wants.

Not by thugs while also smashing rescue workers.

LuckyHazelFox · 24/09/2026 16:08

2dogsandabudgie · 24/09/2026 15:53

It must be the criminal gangs. I hope that they are destroyed by the authorities so that they can't be used again, but there again who knows with this Government.

Yes I can see you would find that post interesting.

Hopefully the site won’t see more of them.

You never answered by question if you use AI or not. I already asked you in a previous post, because some of your reply looked like it was.

Personally, I think it is good manners ,that if AI is used, it is indicated as such. Because that likely needs careful fact checking.

Of course you do. It’s the other side of the same coin as far as I’m concerned.

LuckyHazelFox · 24/09/2026 16:00

BIossomtoes · 24/09/2026 15:57

A fair description. A convicted criminal is correct and he slashed a boat containing a rescue worker.

Try not to push the conversation about confiscation and who owns the boat.

My question is simple.
