To absolutely hate this government, and what they are doing to our country? PART 2

A continuation of Thread 1.

Strong words but is is how I feel at this point in time. All of them make me feel physically sick. Why? Well many reasons.. Here are just two.

Eg. They won't release sex crime statistics of immigrants / asylum seekers. Why? Other European countries have done, and it is not pretty. Our gvt gives out a leaflet asking them not to rape the locals. Why? Our gvt has said they won't house asylum seekers next to schools and nurseries, why?

Eg. UK now spends more on benefits than it earns in income tax. Labour have increased this - not reduced it. Astonishing. As they say - "Who can we tax in order to pay benefits to others?" That's Labour's Welfare Secretary. He's describing the priorities of Labour MPs.

In the last financial year, the UK government brought in £331 billion in income tax — and spent even more, £333 billion, on welfare, according to the Office for Budget Responsibility's latest economic and fiscal outlook (obr.uk/efo/economic-and-fiscal-outlook-march-2026/#chapter-6).

I’m sorry you seem to think that we are in agreement. We are not. Women and children in the UK are more at risk of white angry men than immigrants. Your sentiments and opinions disgust me and are not supported by statistics

Tell that to Rhiannon Whyte's little boy.

Here is a Mirror article from last year that has a different take on the subject.

Heartbreaking image of child shows desperation of migrants trying to reach UK - The Mirror

From that -

"The heartbreaking image of a child being carried by a man wading through chest-deep water highlights the desperation of migrants in peril as they prepare to cross the English Channel in search of better lives."

People do see many things in different ways.

I don't think you do get the full picture from one photograph. I have said this numerous times on here but my local TV news reports on boat crossings quite often as it affects the local area. In one report there were lots of young men crammed on to a small boat and a young woman was trying to climb aboard but the men kept pushing her away. She wasn't wearing a life jacket but all the men were. In the same report a man and his wife and their two children were also trying to get on the boat. He had one child on his shoulders, his wife was holding the other child. None of them were wearing life jackets. The children were distressed.

It does beg the question why would a parent risk their children's lives with this dangerous crossing. They are not in danger in France, Spain or numerous other EU countries. They don't NEED to make the journey. They are described as desperate but what are they so desperate to escape from in France?

Some would need it. But as a lower proportion. Some know it's wrong and do it anyway. In some of these other nations they don't understand at all what they did was wrong

Even Mumsnet crosswords are racist now. Who would have thought it. Then again, everything these days is classed as racist by the lazy.

More side-steps than Strictly.

But they still get a monetary allowance, free clothes, medical and dental care etc. etc.

I didn't know they got clothes.

My local refugee and asylum seeker support group collects clothes for the men at the nearest asylum seeker accommodation to us.

All racists are cowards when put on the spot. Every time. They hide behind their articles and chant other people's words.

Feel free to report me if this resonates with certain posters - you know who you are.

Those images of the little one being abandoned in the sea are very distressing, and I can't imagine anyone would defend the actions of the man who left him there (I don't think we know if it was the child's father, or a people smuggler), but I don't really understand how those actions can be blamed on the U.K government. And I do find this whole thread quite bizarre in that regard- in real life I don't think I've ever met a single person who blames every single bad thing to happen on one particular party or another.

Sorry, doing today's MN crossword. You will need to entertain yourself.

You can't answer.

You can't bring yourself to say what you really think - even though it's glaringly obvious - because you would be deleted, or banned.

Just ask AI now. Nobody on here knows do they? It would save OP hours of labouring under the strange misapprehension that by posting article after article generalisations can be inferred.

To be fair, Chat GPT summed you too up perfectly in about 10 seconds @LuckyHazelFox and @CoventryCity . Su why not ask it about the government's motives? It has no bias unlike posters on here (and I include myself in that).

Surely you would like whatever data and articles that do exist synthesised for you.

See what you think - or is Chat GPT also a leftie?

Why are you so obsessed with AI?

Why are you veering away from the question posed by the thread?

Please explain why this particular news item (horrendous though it is, don't get me wrong) is evidence that migrant men have a higher propensity to be sexual offenders?

Please explain how and why you would make the connection.

Why don't you ask Chat GPT?

You're doing what comes naturally, dismissing news that interferes with protecting the good old geezers. I don't need Metal Mickey to tell me that.

The child will be safer with the French authorities than on a dinghy crossing the Channel. A tragic situation all around.

No child should be a refugee

Well blossom talks about that man not having the same culture as her or ‘anyone else she knows’ and said ‘he probably doesn’t belong here’.

I don’t like the guy but found blossoms attack on him rather hypocritical. So I wondered who did have the same culture as her ‘and anyone else she knows’, and who did belong. I used the commonly known phrase ‘more your bag?’ instead of writing a few sentences. I was just trying to work it out, you see.

Edited

If it's any help, I don't share a culture with knife wielding convicted kidnappers and drug dealers either.

It's not cricket.

See you're doing what Chat GPT says you do. Again!

As soon as there is an opportunity for any type of balanced or more nuanced synthesis of information, you resort to anecdotes, hyperbole, and selective, emotive news presented as 'evidence.'

How do you know the man carrying him was his father?

Even if it wasn't his father, you don't abandon a toddler! I guess slashing a dinghy is way more outrageous though.
