Do you pay your TV license poll

Just interested based on a conversation with a friend recently.

IABU - I pay
IANBU - I don’t pay

if you don’t pay, have you had letters/consequences?

I think they’d make far more revenue if they went to a rolling subscription model. The people that always watch and pay for live tv (many here) would still pay, and they’d also pick a lot of part time subscribers (like me) for certain events or times of the year eg Christmas or the World Cup.

Im also not sure why lots of people are saying they pay the licence fee for listening to radio; it’s not a requirement.

It's not a requirement to have a licence to listen to the radio, I just mentioned it because I listen to the radio more than I watch TV. It is also a service which requires funding

We don’t need to pay because we don’t watch any live TV at all.
We have had some really vile letters about it, but they cannot do anything about it whatsoever as we have declared we don’t need one

So you use the service and don't pay for it.

We pay. We watch some live TV and a lot of iplayer. I also listen to BBC radio. I support the BBC. Living in a civilised society involves duties as well as rights.

I listen to BBC radio ALL the time. I am definitely paying for a service I use. I’d rather have BBC Sounds than Netflix, tbh.

No, and I don't know anyone who does. Still waiting on the license enforement officer paying me a visit, it's been almost 2 years of letters and no sign of him, I'm beginning to lose hope...

I pay. Very annoyed at BBC for still sometimes using woman for men who've committed crimes, but overall I think the varied ad free output by the BBC is excellent. I find Radio 4 isn't as serious as it used to be which is frustrating.

Of course! I watch TV.

There are issues with the BBC on the news and politics side - the way they’ve platformed the far right, along with so much of the media.

But on the original dramas and even “game” type shows side they are incredible and were so lucky to have that.

I pay because I like Radio 4 and Bargain Hunt, and we often watch films etc on iPlayer.
