I think you have to consider the time and place in which Dolly grew up and spent most of her adult life. She came from conservative small-town America where it was not acceptable to be gay or non-conforming, let alone trans. She was a queer icon and any trans people she knew were likely old-school transsexuals or the uber-camp uber-gay-man type of trans.

Similar for Taylor Swift making her You Need to Calm Down video with a lot of gender non-conforming people - she also started off in a very conservative community, and a lot of America is still very polarised and would not accept someone being gay, trans or otherwise non-conforming. I don't know what her view is on males in women's spaces, but I can see why she wanted to support the LGBT community in general.

I actually have a similar (but different) situation where I know a group of people (in the UK) who are very into trans rights - they're all in a particular music scene that attracts a lot of geeky, non-conforming people, some possibly autistic - the trans and non-binary people in that group are the type who wouldn't hurt a fly and would genuinely be at risk of harrassment from meat-head types.

So while I don't personally agree with males in women's spaces, I can see why some people have a different view based on their differing experiences and I don't hate them for it.

Well, ascribing me with a view that I haven't actually expressed, and one which I know you very strongly disagree with, and then asking me the same question over and over, just for a start.

As for those trying to start a debate on "but what is a woman?!" there's a whole board where they LOVE stuff like that and can "debate" themselves into circles all day, every day. Posters on here are best off ignored who are trying to do the same on this thread.

The irony is that, as I've already expressed, I would actually agree with you on lots. A woman is a biological female. Men shouldn't be in women's sport, or women's prisons.

But because I haven't expressed the most extreme anti-trans position possible, I'm now being targeted.

I cannot go to the gym in the country I am in because a man was in the women's changing room. When I asked about it, they said they would be accused of discrimination if they didn't let men who say they are women in.

So now I can't use the gym changing room in case he is there, and I can't ask him to leave.

This is the reality about shrugging and saying it doesn't affect me, so it's not a problem.

So if you are telling me that letting a man in the female toilets "is complicated" can you explain to me why?

I absolutely do and I'm extremely gender critical. But this hobby horse is shoehorned into literally every conversation about more or less everything under the sun.

It's a classic example of a fairly marginal issue being maniacally over-applied to every subject under the sun. I'll say it and no doubt will get torn a new one but there are bigger issues in feminism, in women's rights, and in the world and I'm tired of having to rehash this tired old canard again and again and again.
