AIBU to think Boy George should retire from performing now?

I very much did sadly. I saw a lot of violence against men and women working there and a lot of sexual harassment.

Spacey got away with it but there is zero doubt in my mind that those men are telling the truth.
When anyone tells me they have been sexually assaulted or raped I believe them.
I've never met George but I do know a lot of people who know him personally and I have rarely heard anything good about his behaviour.

When the Spacey thing blew up and I heard those young guys descriptions, I knew exactly what they were talking about. He’s a serious sex pest as is Boy George. They’re everywhere sadly.

My old flatmate was a MASSIVE Boy George fan and when his first autobiography came out he bought it immediately.
I didn't really think much about BG so I read it after him and I absolutely hated him by the end of it.

My guess on that one is that Torode's misdemeanours were committed whilst under contract with the BBC and actively in the BBC workplace. Boy George's weren't.

Never liked him but he went up in my estimation recently with his stand against anti-semtism.

I'm surprised he still has a career and fans after the radiator incident. I don't know anyone who would pay to see him perform but clearly they must exist.

I suppose after a life of drug use and legal battles he can't afford to retire and he's unwilling/unable to pursue some other kind of career. As long as he still has some kind of fan base and name recognition he'll keep going.

He used to be on Real Housewives of Beverly Hill quite regularly as a friend of Dorit and PK. He’s grim and I could never see what they saw in him . Utter sleazeball.

I will never understand how BG can sometimes pop up on the BBC but John Torode got cancelled.

He’s a really unpleasant person. In the early 90s, he spilt a drink down my friend’s jacket in a club and when she had a go at hiim, he was completely unapologetic and told her it was a “cheap outfit” and tried to belittle her to everyone looking on. I’m not so sure about Toyah - i saw her & Robert Fripp (her DH) just before she was on Strictly. She was absolutely fantastic! Great voice & a ridiculous amount of energy; only problem that I had was the saccharine-sweet adoration she apparently has for Mr Fripp.
Boy George, OTOH, I’ve never liked as an individual; he’s been one of those hiding in plain sight men, unfortunately.
