There can never be 50/50 between a man and woman as we give birth and they can never compensate for that ever

Women go through pregnancy childbirth periods menopause

Yet many men in there princess era thinknthe woman should go 50/50, they haven't got a clue

I'm childfree. Giving birth doesn't seem like a particularly special skill to me.

Me and my husband are 50/50 in household chores, kids, finances because I wouldn't put up with being a martyr.

So one very specific scenario, that you chose not to explain initially

So many variables...A woman may still be a higher earner after children following pregnancy and maternit leave. She may choose to go back to work full time and him part time. They may chose not to have children. Nothing wrong with 50/50 contributions that are reassessed depending on life circumstances for each couple at specific times of life

Of course if a 50/50 split isn’t fair and proportionate to income in any relationship the person of any gender paying more than their fair share ought to pay less (recognise this is particularly likely after childbirth due to maternity leave etc) but has nothing to do with the act of giving birth!

Presumably, they are not thinking that far ahead. I am not going to insist a man pays 100% of everything when I move in with him just because, hypothetically, we might have a child one day.
We would have this discussion at an appropriate time not on the first date FFS.
