To think this is unfair? Holiday.

I'm going on holiday with another person. Last time we went, they had the much nicer accommodation and mine was very basic. This time, check in is at different times and they're insisting I have the first accommodation we can check in to earlier as I have pets and they think I should settle the pets in, and they have the second. I mentioned the other day that we should look at them both and this time its my choice to choose which I prefer out of the two. We can always go in the first at check in and move my pets easily to the second. This is something she agreed to and is now going back on her word. AIBU to be pissed off at this? I really don't want to go away now.

If you've booked different accommodation surely you stay at the one you've paid for? It sounds like you don't even know what you're booked if you've got to wait until you get there to see it. Strange situation all round really.

But why have you booked accommodation that you don’t know what it looks like? Why can’t you just book your own if you’re staying separately anyway?
Why do they have different check in times?
Really don’t understand.
If it’s causing this much stress just cancel and tell her you’ll book your own

Yeah I don’t understand this at all. Who is paying for which hotel room and why on earth aren’t you just choosing whichever you want to pay for? And why are you bringing your pets if she doesn’t want you to? And why are you insisting on going on holiday together when clearly neither of you want to? This scenario is super confusing

When you get there (first) ask which is the better room and take that one. It sounds like they know which is the better room and how they will be allocated if you are not proactive.

Why cant you just take the 2nd accommodation and arrive when its ready. I wouldn't be happy if you took the first and then swapped if 2nd was better

Did you bring the pets last time? How many of them are there? Were they annoying? Why are you paying the same amount if there is that much difference to the accommodation? How long are you going for?

OP you need to communicate better. People are asking you questions which you have ignored and answered whatever suits you. My advice is stop moaning and be constructive instead of this passive aggressive “I get told” nonsense.

She probably doesnt want your pets in the room shes staying in. Seems fair enough. Either leave your pets at home or take the first accommodation.

I have a dog and I love most furries , but I can see how some people might not want animals roaming around their clean room before they arrive and then have to sleep in it.
just plan to arrive when the rooms are both ready and you pick which you want? Why is one ready much earlier?

Have you both paid the same amount? Did you have to say on your booking that there is dogs or were both rooms booked in one transaction and dogs can go in either room?
