The Royals seem to be very fond of saying others remember things wrongly or differently. You do start to think it’s very possible it’s not everyone else that’s the problem, especially when we have witnessed some very bad behaviour from the Royals over the years. I think Charles is more than capable of saying these things.

YABU to give a fuck. This is the most trivial soapy garbage. I can't believe how many people are allowing their brains to turn into rot with all the royal family trivia that has vomited out of the media over the last few years.
It's no longer even about the royal family as such. It is just mindless chewing over cheap online content. Could equally be Madeline McCann or Nicola Bulley or Jay Slater, or any other flavour of content fodder chewing gum.
In all these events, though, it is an actual family's actual tragedy to we should butt out.

A woman died 30 years ago and family tensions meant that some relatives were judgey about other relatives reactions. Great, ok, now what about the world's actual problems.

The BBC has justifiably been criticised for being sycophantic towards celebrities, aristocratic families and royalty in the past.

I believe that Charles was relieved when Diana was out of the picture. I believe Earl Spencer.

Maybe we can’t vote him out in elections, but we can make our views known and maybe remove him and the whole family by other means? The concept of a ‘royal’ family is outdated.

I loathe Charles and I believe he said this. 100% and probably a lot worse besides.

We will probably never know for definite but I think it’s completely believable that Charles said these things.

Most posters there love Charles so you wouldn’t get as much of a balanced view. It’s best here.

I can 100% believe KC thought that, and maybe 50% believe that he said that (i mean, you'd have to be a fucking idiot to say that to her brother but I don't credit any of them with much intelligence). What i don't understand is why anyone really cares about some trashy gossip from 30 years ago being shared in an unbelievably transparent attempt to drum up interest in a book.

I'm getting sick of wading through threads about what a grumpy middle-aged man said about his ex wife 30 years ago. He's a king, not a PM. We can't vote him out.

I dislike monarchy and aristocracy as a concept and find all of these people pretty unappealing. But I’m on the fence about the veracity of this claim. I can’t help thinking that it would have leaked in 29 years and been all over message boards, and gossiped about by journalists who couldn’t print it for whatever reason.

It’s a disgrace really. Using your dead sister to pay for your divorces. I’m sure his nephews and their children will be thrilled he’s dragging all of this up three decades later. I can’t imagine what it’s like when your mother dies in terrible circumstances and people are still bringing it up all of the time. And using their relationships with her for financial gain. It’s deplorable.

The man has many expensive divorces to pay for, hence the book, and is not known for his integrity. So I would take anything he says with a large dose of salt.

Who cares if it’s true or not? Pretty much every participant in this psycho drama is awful.

I believe every word. I don’t care what his motives for writing the book are. Anything that damages the monarchy can only be a good thing.

He said he’d protect the Princes. This is the opposite.
