Wellness retreat experiences

I would love to know what other peopke experiences are of going to a wellness retreat.
I am so sick of life and all the pressure while I am undergoing a health scare.

I just want to be selfish for once in my life and be pampered.

I dont want any men there, would prefer to be solo but would accommodate my sister.

I would love it to be in England.
I dont have a budget as my peace means so much more to sort my head out and completely detox from every day everyone.

I would love to hear about your experiences.
I originally put this post in holidays sections didn't get replies, Maybe I am just too impatient.

Never been but always dreamed of Hoar Cross Hall in Derby I think. Beautiful grounds, old Manor House, lots of spa rooms and treatments. Or the original Sanctuary that started the toiletries - think it’s Covent Garden. Would absolutely love a break like this too and think if you’re craving it then you need it!

Thank you , I will look this up.

Honestly, if you can afford to, go abroad with a specialist provider not just a hotel ‘spa’ experience - that’s not really wellness, just a bit of downtime and a few treatments. Check out something like in:spa retreats.

The sanctuary in Covent Garden closed ages ago. Better to go somewhere more rural anyway to really relax and unwind. Agree that a proper wellness retreat abroad would be ideal but if it’s just a couple of days in the uk there are lots of gorgeous spas like Armathwaite in the Lakes, Ockenden in Sussex or many others. Have fun researching and fantasising then pick whichever is least stress to get to.

Just remembered the women only thing, sorry. You’d have to google for that specially. Lots exist but not been to any to recommend.

I’ve been on the Sistersheal retreat in Syros and it was amazing (am going again!) and so restorative so I highly recommend.

Sorry just noted you want a retreat in England so wanted to add Sistersheal do retreats in the uk too!

Firstly, it isn't selfish to want time for yourself. It is so important! I've booked a few retreats and even my yoga teacher training on bookretreats - i've always found the searching and booking process pretty straight forward. Have a look at the retreats in the links below. I had a super quick look and seems like there are lots that sound like the kind of thing you're after xx
