To be a bit annoyed at this

Lent someone £50 and regularly lend them money even though I’m not in any different situation income wise than she is. She’s now told me she’s on mounjaro just started this week. Aibu to think if you owe money you give that back before buying non essential stuff

She clearly has issues with impulsivity hence why being bad with money. So stop giving.

I was brought up with the maxim Neither a borrower nor a lender be.
I never ask any one for anything and I hate to be put in the position of having to say no to people but honestly OP sometimes you need to be blunt with people and tell them you aren't in a position to lend them money.
Definitely ask her to repay you.

Maybe the mounjaro, is essential to her, as it seems to be, to lots of people. Once you lend someone money, they can do as they please with it, I think, as long as they pay the lender back. If you disapprove of what she is spending it on, stop lending. Simple.

Does she normally pay you back on time? Did you specify when this latest sub needed to be returned and she is now past the deadline?

Ask when she will be able to pay you back the 50 pounds you lent her.
Dont lend her money again, simply say you arent in a position to lend money.
I had a friend like this, would ask to borrow money saying she was desparate for essentials like shoes for her child or food and yet would seem to find money for non essential things eg: botox and hair extensions.
it took a while and i learnt a valuable lesson.

Well it’s been over a month so yeah and sort of does if she has money for that then she has money to pay me back otherwise of course yes I wouldn’t what she spends it on
