AIBU to be becoming completely unhinged at the start of perimenopause 🤣

Has anyone else gone completely f ing bananas literally over the course of a couple of months when entering peri menopause 🤣
I ask because I’m normally quite a sane person. But here is a list of things that have happened the last few weeks and I’d like to make a post that people can join with their insane symptoms if it helps to vent.
. Randomly received the gift of a frozen shoulder.
. Watched a horror film with my son and cried that the ghost was only being nasty because it had had a traumatising death.
. Cried at my desk when one of my staff members told me her son had come home from nursery saying no one had played with him that day.
. Presented a meeting for 50 people and in the middle turned into a blotchy tomato, started sweating then tried to have a panic attack about absolutely nothing.
. My brain has decided that certain people who never bothered me before now enrage me for absolutely no reason whatsoever.
. Waking up at 2am like I’ve just been swimming

please feel free to join and make me feel less unhinged 🤣🤣🤣

Oh yes.... I went through a few months when I absolutely couldn't watch anything involving a crime on TV without freaking out. Any walk in the country triggered a panic attack. As a matter of fact, just leaving my town automatically did so.

The worse part is that I had no idea it was hormone related and so was convinced it was a serious health condition, and then spiralled into health anxiety.

If I'd known it was anxiety from the start, it would have saved my mental health (and job). At the time, I'd never heard of anxiety being linked with the menopause. Tried 4 different types of hrt that made it all worse. Antidepressants were the saving grace for me.

Solidarity OP, I feel all of this. I swing between sobbing and hulk like rage on a daily basis!

I turned from someone who had run a business successfully for years to struggling with everything. Got the right HRT and back smashing it at work.

All sounds hardcore perimenopause OP. It's absolutely wild. HRT has made the world of difference to me - some symptoms gone completely and others much more manageable

Add rage at everything and everyone 0-100 in an instant.
