Old stew - is it safe to eat?

I made a lamb stew on Saturday and ate it that evening. I left the leftovers in the slow cooker overnight. On Sunday morning I portioned the leftovers into two Tupperware boxes and put them in the fridge. Is it safe to eat a portion today or should I throw them away?

If refrigerate overnight and still eat within 2 days or freeze. I often make a vat of stew or soup and freeze portions straight away. DC comes back from uni at weekends and takes them off to uni with him for the next week.

Fridge slows but doesn't stop bacterial growth and you've now had extra days for that growth to happen in. Plus starting from a high base due to overnight in slow cooker first. Reheating might kill bacteria but won't remove toxins they've already produced.

So I wouldn't eat this one.

I’d eat it but I’d heat it up really well.
