Who loves diamonds!!

Honestly I love them. They are SO beautiful.

My favourite type of diamond is a firey one.

My own is titchy. 0.2 carats. But my god it’s a firecracker. A sparky little rainbow on my finger 🧨

Besides my own children.. I do think good diamonds are the most beautiful thing on earth.

Tell me about your favourite diamonds?

Im a jeweller , ive worked with diamonds for 25 years +
Sometimes im.a bit blasé about them because they are just "materials" that i work with but every now and again there is one that makes me go "wow" (more so now that that lab grown are growing in popularity! 😄)

Lab grown for me! First diamond I’ve owned and it’s soooo sparkly! I love it. It brings me a lot of joy. Will be buying more from the lab grown range at Mappin & Webb. It came with certificates and everything.

I could never get comfortable ethically with a real diamond so chose a sea glass engagement ring. Now that we have lab grown, im very happy.

Please please please no one burst my bubble and share an ethical problem with lab grown diamonds! 🙉

I did an awful lot of overtime during the pandemic and instead of being sensible bought myself an absolute beauty of a diamond ring from Boodles. It just brings me so much joy I don't even feel guilty about the price. Sparkly, shiny, beautiful thing that is pointless other than to be pretty. Joyfully impractical.

I will be getting something with Zircona next time I feel like I've earned another shiny, now I know how you can use them to age the planet due to the uranium trapped in them. How cool is that, pretty and clever!

Ooo thankyou I will have to hunt some of these down to have a look. Yes the fire is my favourite. I love looking and then it hurts my eyes

I'd rather have QVC Diamonque. I've just treated myself to a Garnet and diamond second hand ring. I'm paying it off over six months and will get it just before my birthday. I didn't wear jewellery for years because of, camping, dog walking, horse riding. I now see jewellery as part of dressing up.

My engagement ring is a 2.86 carat aquamarine and it’s stunning.

Yes, zirconias are nice too - they have a more rainbow sparkle than diamonds.

@Bloodysquirellls Yes! I really like them. I don't have anything expensive but I have some lovely, small, vintage ones, and some lab diamonds. There's something mesmerising about them.

I worked in a jewellers for 7 years and diamonds were probably the least interesting thing we sold.
