Pedestrian fool- wrong side of road in camo gear at dusk

To be absolutely shaken up having to take avoiding action swerving around a pedestrian walking on an unlit A road at dusk on the wrong side of the road ( my direction) in khaki rucksack with camouflage jacket and trousers oblivious to the traffic behind them ( lorry behind me, van in front was v v close to them, i tried to give them more room ). I had to pull over and take a breather. Still got visions in my mind of potential consequences; reading the Highway Code should be mandatory for all road users. Rant over.

i've also been very shaken when I came too close to a pedestrian in a grey coat in front of a grey flint wall - he was very hard to see, and I remember it 25 years later.

as a pedestrian, it is easy to forget how hard you are to see from in a car, and hi-vis should be more common.

So the pedestrian was on the left? Well yes it’s annoying but needing to pull over when you’ve driven past a khaki fool safely seems a bit extreme reaction wise.
