HELP ME! I’m desperate so I’m posting here.
I have an 8 year old girl that has been recently diagnosed with autism. We’ve done other health issues too and a paediatrician suggested she might be autistic.
nearly three years later we got the bit of paper that say she’s autistic.
it feels like that’s it. Discharged from the paeds team. School are overwhelmed with worse case kids. And besides she is “fine at school” due to masking
at home we walk on eggshells. But the worst are the frequent violent meltdowns. Punching, hitting, biting and it goes on for ages. Today she scratched her sibling. She hit me and broke a valuable item. We are all exhausted. She’s getting bigger and its Hard to stop her hurting me.
I’ve done so much research and purchased tools, fidget toys, books etc. all work mildly.
Ive referred myself to integrated front door for some help.
what the hell do I need? How can I help her? We are desperate and I’m so scared of her violent outbursts.
