To not really fancy a "winter of hardship to beat Putin"

I would rather he had various bits of Ukraine than I have a winter of hardship I don't really care about Ukraine (and I think at least some people in said various bits would like to join Russia anyway, who am I to stop them)

Why do we have to keep getting involved in far away stuff

Nah, I only care about what's happening in Europe thanks. Putin is a thorn in the side of the planet. Sooner he's gone the better.

Plenty of businesses and people will be unable to pay, which brings poverty and strife to my door even if I can keep paying

For no reason except that it's British government policy

Putin is no more an enemy to me than Trump (and no less but we aren't sanctioning the US are we)

I care because anyone going through war should be cared for. I also care for the 250,000 Russians killed in the conflict because they have had propaganda fed to them, for decades. I also care about people in North Korea, South Sudan, Tibet, Myanmar, Gaza and Syria.
On a purely selfish reason Putin winning in Ukraine will embolden him further. Having allies in the US and China should be worrying for anyone in the UK. Russia has blatantly and is blatantly trying to destabilise the EU for obvious reasons. The fact that he is close to Farage( and Johnson) should also be worrying as having any foreign interest interfere in our national politics should always be a case for concern.

So Putin DIDN'T invade Ukraine and murder men, women and children and thousands of his own men as a vanity project?

Tell me - if your children are bullied at school do you expect someone to do something about it or would you tell your child to suck it up?

Putin is undermining western democracies in many other ways, through disinformation, through interference in elections. Do you think that doesn’t affect you either?

I do agree with you but Putin can't even beat Ukraine. There's no way he'd mess with NATO.
